  Having stayed in this village several times before this was the best accommodation by far. Fantastic location, lovely room - very clean, warm and cosy with a very clean and well equipped bathroom. Great bar area downstairs with friendly staff.   The room was big, fresh looking and airy with plenty of drawers and space to hang things. The girl behind the bar was friendly and gave me my whiskey and dry ginger in a proper glass! The area is good for a trip by train or a tree lined drive into the forest. The garden with the little stream and seating area is very nice. Wish we could have stayed longer! - A friendly homely hotel (it's a pub with accommodation), breakfast and evening meals were really good, good wireless connection, 15 min drive from Basingstoke, clean and comfortable room, competitive room rates. I will definitely be staying again.

  Le personnel - Everything beautifully clean very comfortable and friendly - I found the Hotel location excellent being close to both the railway station (500 yards) and Hook's business park (1 mile).

  we had a meal on the Friday we arrived Thai curry was excellent expertly prepared. The staff were helpful and friendly . We would recommend Chilli pad as a comfortable affordable base . - Great staff, very friendly and helpful, Great Thai food, breakfast could be better. Very comfortable bed.
