  We liked everything about the hotel. The food was exceptional and they serve a lovely afternoon tea. The building itself was intriguing, historic, tastefully decorated and it was like something out of an Agatha Christie story. The gardens front and back are lovely and it was delightful sitting and watching the sun going down across the lawn with ... ce que les gens disent » the sea in the distance. We stayed in a standard room which was a reasonable size and comfortable and clean, we were very impressed with the feather b - We stayed with two dogs, and the latter were made very welcome as were we. The room was well appointed and the special two day mid-week offer was excellent value. We decided to eat in and the food was very good and well presented. Overstrand is quiet but good walks in the evening and interesting history. The hotel has been well restored to keep the Edwardian with a hint of German, feel, of its first owner and builder. We would stay there again.

  Our studio apartment was of an extremely high standard. Furnishings and equipment were excellent and everything was spotlessly clean. We had only one night so were unable to use the leisure facilites but the pool looked wonderful and the beach was only a short walk from our villa. We stayed in Jan so thought the resturant would be serving a reduced menu, however this was not the case and the food was absolutely lovely!!

  This was a quick get away as the weather was going to be sunny. When were driving upto the hotel. The way it was lite up gave it the wow factor. The hotel was lovely and quiet which suited us both. We were shown to our room. And the wow factor hit again. The fixture and fittings were of a very good standard. We loved our stay and will be going bac... ce que les gens disent » k. A beautiful place to unwind in. - This hotel is a little gem hidden away in a forest but only a few miles from some lovely beaches and resorts. We did have lovely weather which helps to make the trip memorable. The staff were brilliant, food excellent ate in restaurant both nights. We will certainly return for another weekend break at some point. Well done.

We had asked her prior to going if we could chill some champagne in her fridge and she went to the trouble of borrowing a champagne bucket from a local pub. The breakfast was delicious (there were even little hea - The lovely, friendly owner who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Her attention to detail with regard to freshly cut flowers and pot grown orchids placed around the guest house and in the room, coupled with complementary chocolates and bottled water replenished daily. A wonderful shower unit in the room and a comfortable bed. The superb breakfasts served at a time selected by ourselves, and the owner's personality.
