  Staff were friendly on arrival and made everything very easy for myself and my partner even though it was a busy time with everyone checking in in time for Scotland Vs. Ireland at the 6 nations. Our room was ready on arrival and we couldn't have had a better room! We had an amazing sleep in the seriously comfy bed and woke up fresh - We (my husband and I) stayed in BB 3 nights. It was a very good experience. People here is very friendly and willing to help for anything. Our room is designed so amazing as Scotland style. It's also excellent with the price you pay. We strongly recommend visitors staying this beautiful and good -serviced BB.

  L'ambiance très "scottich" - We were celedrating our 5th wedding anniversary so had a superior 4 poster bed room which was superb. Everything we wanted and more. We had fresh towels every day even though we didn;t ask for them. The bed was King Size and very comfy. Lovely complimentary bath, hair and body lotions.   The Edinburgh Lodge was welcoming and friendly. The staff are friendly and informative. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, offering en-suite facilites with added touches. Breakfast was great too. Nice breakfast room and service. Bathrooms modern and clean. If you want to stay out of central downtown, are driving a car and take buses and tours, this works very well. Some signs of wear and tear here and there but it has the character of an older building which was exactly what I was looking for in Scotland. The downstairs sitting room with snacks and bar fridge a nice feature. Business office available.

  The whole experience at The Hostel was great! the employees at the Hostel went out of their way to help you with any kind of problems and queries. You felt like you where more around friends than just an ordinary guest. The breakfast was useful and for 2 pounds very sufficient. The hostels atmosphere and areas where very spacious and made it easy... ce que les gens disent » to mingle and meet other traveler or just find a quiet corner to read a nice book. The showers and kitchen where among the better once I have seen in - The staff is great and stayed up late to be able to check me in even though it was past their reception hours, and she had a great and fun attitude even though I had woken her up. The hostel wants to become the best hostel in Edinburgh and are open to critique which gave me the sense that I was a honored guest and I felt very welcome. A pretty good hostel.
