  L'ambiance très "scottich" - We were celedrating our 5th wedding anniversary so had a superior 4 poster bed room which was superb. Everything we wanted and more. We had fresh towels every day even though we didn;t ask for them. The bed was King Size and very comfy. Lovely complimentary bath, hair and body lotions. Breakfast was smashing-everthing you wanted. - Pretty close to the heart of Edinburgh but still nice and peaceful. Staff were excellent, very friendly and professional.   The Edinburgh Lodge was welcoming and friendly. The staff are friendly and informative. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, offering en-suite facilites with added touches. Breakfast was great too. The location was suitable for a 15 minute walk to Princes Street, and the Castle and also for driving out of the city for touring to other de... ce que les gens disent » stinations. We travelled easily from the Lodge to Stirling with no traffic issues. The 15 minute walk is flat and well lit, so felt safe. If the tra - Very nicely decorated hotel/friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast room and service. Bathrooms modern and clean. If you want to stay out of central downtown, are driving a car and take buses and tours, this works very well. Some signs of wear and tear here and there but it has the character of an older building which was exactly what I was looking for in Scotland. The downstairs sitting room with snacks and bar fridge a nice feature. Business office available.

  I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean. For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.

  Hotel staff were lovely, always smiling and on the day of our departure offered to keep our luggage to one side so we could go and enjoy Edinburgh without having to drag our luggage around and collect it later! Walk in/rainfall shower was out of this world, easy to adjust the heat - The hotel had a unique and modern design, extremely friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the room Loch Rannoch which featured a comfy king sized bed, a large flat screen TV with Sky, modern bathroom with huge walk in shower and despite other reviews plently of hot water!   The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job ... ce que les gens disent » in the city). Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

  My friends and I had a great time and we were even offered a free upgrade to an apartment next door that was incredibly spacious and a comfortable place to stay in for the weekend. - The manager is most helpful and friendly, the room is large and warm. Breakfast well prepared and presented.
