  I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean. For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.

  We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh. She greeted us warmly and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day and how we were enjoying Scotland. Also, her breakfast was great and always waiting. The tour left very early and she arranged for an early breakfast even though they weren't open for breakfast yet. The possibility to let my luggage at the hotel during my backpacking trip in the Highlands. It was nice to accept it. - Great location, great value and a very friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was big and comfy, the atmosphere of the hotel was good, and there were a great shared living room and kitchen. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.
