Staff was very very friendly, after coming into the hostel you are offered a cup of tea or coffee, and given a map of Liverpool with some recommendations.
Rooms are not luxurious, but clean and comfy, and (especially together with the breakfast) definitely great value for the money.
Furthermore: Free toast and tee 24/7 in the kitchen!

I appreciated the lovely warm welcome I received on arrival. I was immediately asked if I would like a tea or a coffee. I found the staff really cheerful, pleasant and helpful. They were all eager to give useful tips to the guests on places to visit whilst in Liverpool. I was even given a free entry card to the Cavern Club.
I also like the way you can help yourself to hot drinks, store and cook your own food.
Having Sky tv is a bonus and access to the internet.

Quite central, just minutes walking and very close to the bus station, the room was good, better than good if I compare to other places, and the toilets, showers, etc, very clean. -

This is an excellent place to stay if you're on a budget or just seeking a no frills place to lay the head down. Dave the hotel owner is a superb host. He couldn't do enough for his
guests. Hotel is work in progress but so far impressive. Even dropped us
off at the railway station to save us getting a taxi when we left.
Breakfast was plentiful and cooked well. Hotel is in an ideal situation

We got lost and when we rang the hotel Hayley went on google maps and very calmly directed us straight there, when we parked and came in she had the kettle on for a very welcome cuppa! While there was no food available a selection of take away menus where offered and cutlery, plates and napkins provided. Breakfast served by Dave the next morning and was delicous. The location is ideal for the Birkenhead-Belfast ferry ( 5 mins). Also the Mersey tunnel.
It is also directly opposite the train station into Liverpool.
The hotel itself is an old building but i found it very clean with very helpful staff from reception to dining room.

EXcellent location, it is opposite Birkenhead Central station; I left a laptop charger in our room and the staff were very helpful when I wanted to recover it. Very convenient for the Mersey ferry and wartime German U-boat museum.

On arrival you think it looks like a bad place to leave your car. On checking in the staff show how crime in the area is much lower than the town centre. We had a perfect view of the Mersey and watched the car ferry we were going to sail on arrive. Room was decorated lovely and bed really comfy. For the money we paid for a single night to save us

Room is big especially bathroom. The staff is friendly as well. Although the hotel are quite far from city center, the price of private taxi is so cheap, about 3 pounds to city center. That mean if you have 3 people, it will be 1 pound per person.

Exterior looked not very appealing, but the newly refurbished room I stayed in was fantastic. I loved the attention to detail and the cleanliness which I really didn't expect. Lovely pub attached to it in an urban area with tesco extra opposite and take aways down the road. I got more than I expected and so was very happy with my stay. Bargain! -

My first impression was negative.I was wrong.I have never felt more at home in any hotel before.The frienleness of staff and other guests,including folk in the bar area could not have been better.I was made to feel very welcome and would choose the Pineaple as my first choice hotel in future.Thank you.

Excellent prices and location. Bus stop to Liverpool 30 second walk away and will take about 5 minutes to get straight into Liverpool. Tesco across the road. Room was clean and modern. Good size tv with all the channels. In a quiet area no noise outside. Constant hot water. Whenever I go to Liverpool this is the best place to stay. -

we had a great stay a loverley house and warm welcome the breakfast was very differant fresh fruit smoked salmon cheese and fresh bread . the best part spending breakfast around 1 large table in the kitchen shared with other guests lots of conversation and very relaxed we stay again next time we visit liverpool.
