  This was our third stay at The Griffin - and I am sure we will stay there again: staff are always very cheerful, helpful and welcoming; location is great for exploring Bath - near station as we travel by train and central for shops, theatre, etc. Breakfast is fine, as are the bar snacks and range of beers and wines. - The staff and general ambien... ce que les gens disent » ce. Fantastic cooked breakfast and delicious blueberry pancakes. Quaint bedrooms. Great central location yet quiet street.

  My husband and I just had a wonderful couple of nights at Oldfields. What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.). The hotel is well located (short walk from town... ce que les gens disent » centre, ideal if you want a really great Indian meal at the nearby Mint Room restaurant) and the rooms lovely. We had a deluxe four poster and it was - We received a wonderful warm welcome from the proprietors,even though we arrived before usual check in. Time. We were given lovely tray of tea & bikkies in their gorgeous regency communal lounge while the attractions of Bath were explained to us. Even though we had chosen the less expensive loft room, the decorations were lovely & it was very comfortable, with a/con(which was very necessary because of the afternoon sun), which made the room very comfortable.
