Edinburgh Townhouse - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
Very friendly staff.
Pretty and comfortable bedroom.
Lots of information available about Edinburgh.
Very central location close to great pubs and restaurants.
Within walking distance of Castle and Old Town, it is located within New Town.
Close to main bus routes and train station - car can be left at park and ride for free, then a cheap 30 minute bus ride gets you very close to the hotel.
I stayed for one night at the Edinburgh Townhouse, and the single room with ensuite was very comfortable. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.tous commentaires »
Very well located, close to the castle. Nice fresh breakfast. The girl working there was very friendly. Good WiFi connectivity. Not difficult to get there from the airport - Airlink 100 bus stops not far away. In general it is a nice place to stay. So I would recommend it, for sure.
very nice staff, especialy the lovely friendly girl from Barcelona who served us our continental breakfast.Location was very central and quiet - there was no noise from the street as the rooms are 3 stories up from the street.
This hotel was friendly, excellent value, clean. The breakfast was good too. The situation is so central and convenient it was hard to believe it was so cheap. It was fun being in one of the famous Edinburgh Georgian houses.
Location as well as staff attitude is great. I was satisfied with the
breakfast selection (toasts, croissants, ham, cheese, yogurt, milk,
orange juice, jam, honey, muesli, tea and coffee) Complimentary tea
in the room.
Very Friendly and helpful staff, great location in the center, very good
breakfest, clean and rather quiet at night. Good value for money. Can be
recomended as perfect base for few days stay.
Right in the middle of Edinburgh, close to plenty of shops/attractions, but still nice and quiet inside. Lovely staff, who are more than happy to help. Overall, absolutely fantastic!.
the room was clean and the bed very comfortable - the location was great for all the shops, sight and and concert venues in Edinburgh and only a ten walk from the train station.
Fantastic location, lovely staff, beautifully decorated! We were very comfortable and the included breakfast went above and beyond my expectations.
Decoration - Modern and stylish Friendly staff Plenty of tourist
information tea and coffee well stocked View of the castle from
our window.
Very helpful and friendly manager (Adam). Good location with nice restaurants and bars close by. Breakfast at Ricks was superb.
Nice, friendly staff, beatifull room. We booked room without bathroom, but we got a nice ensuite for the same price.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great location- walking distance to main attractions.
Friendly helpful staff, clean, comfortable room, good breakfast, great location, excellent value for money.
Being a very cold time of year we couldn't have a asked for a warmer room to come back to every night.
Very hospitable and welcoming. Comfortable and great value for money. Excellent location. one of my best stay,s in edinburgh. exellent location great staff good accomodation.

The location is hard to match!.
The staff was very friendly.
Near to all sightseeing.
Value for money.
comfortable bed.
clean and tidy.
Big clean room.
Everything :).
everything.
Central location.
Ideal location.
The owner and the girl attending are really nice.
Very good breakfast.
The house is well located, with a bus stop around the corner and the main Street at 4 blocks.
Lots of stairs, no lift.
Very small bathroom.
Only 1 hour time for a breakfast. The first day when I arrived, the room was not well cleaned. Was better the next days, though. Something was not exactly right with the toilet flushing system. Pretty noisy in the evening/night, but this comes with teh central location. So all only minor things which cannot really spoil your stay there!.
it would not suit elderl or mobility impaired people as there is no lift and a lot of stairs to climb.
I wouldn't complain about anything. I can imagine some people would find the stairs a problem but we didn't.
It was very cold in the room (wind blowing straight through the closed
window), and heating switches off periodically Poor sound isolation At
least single bed room was extremely small They do not clean rooms every
day (don't even make a bed).
The ceiling is low on the last floor for the two rooms with the shared
bathroom, this was probably a reason for rather warm/hot air in the
room, even with open windows at all time. The usage of the bathroom was
also a bit difficult because the shower was just under even lower part
of the ceiling. Not possible to leave the luggage for few hours on the
day of departure - go to the bus station to the lockers that are much
cheaper than the storage at the train station.
The stairs up to the town house main door. But granted this cannot be
changed and is just part and parcel of the hotel so fully understand and
this would not put me off staying at the hotel ever again.
Bottle bins being emptied from bars to the rear of the building woke us up several times through the early hours of the morning.
There are a lot of stairs.
Pack lightly as lots of stairs to go up.
Four flights of stairs to climb.
Although temporary arrangements for luggage storage were made, for which I'm very grateful, a more permanent option such as a designated secure storage area would be a suggestion. no negative point,s.
No lift so defnitely not family friendly as you have to climb 4 stories each time.
they don't have stairs.
The three keys they provide come with a rather large keychain and there's no option to leave it at reception.
Breakfast was a little to early.
Parking rates are too expensive; eleven pounds for 3 1/2 ours.
climbing up the stairs was a challenge. breakfasts served at alexander graham bell pub were awfull (cold, typical Scottish=extremely caloric and fat).
rooms a bit small,no axcess to room till 3.00 pm.
stairs.
none.
Metered parking. Numerous stairs to room, expected easier access.
Room very small
Breakfast limited.
super small room
lots of stairs, difficult to bring luggages upstairs
it's not recommended for old people.
There are too many stairs to get to the actual front desk and rooms, if you travel with heavy bags you'll not make it.
The sink in the bathroom is so tiny that it is useless. The shower is also very small.
