The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. I liked the large car park at the back which is locked at night by a garage style door. It is very convenient. The bus stop to the city centre is nearby and the buses are frequent. I was staying to visit my husband in hospital and there is a bus straight to the QE about 10 mins walk away. There is a small Tesco opposite and a Post Office about 400m away.

Very clean and cosy rooms (we lived on the 1st floor). Good private parking. Nice location, there're some very nice restaurants and pubs in just 7-10 minutes walk, Tesco supermarket just across the road. Everything.Lovely,friendly staff. Hardy breakfast included.They couldn't do enough for us.Small gift when we left was a nice touch.This Hotel may look a little old from the outside but please make the effort to enquire as it is a hidden "GEM".Old style charm and hospitality.5 out of 5. Staff were lovely and friendly, room was a fair size. We were upgraded to family room as an error was made. Breakfast was lovely. The Staff were very welcoming upon arrival your veichle is locked up after 12pm. It's on a junction but it's no problem if you plan ahead. Make sure you turn into Meadow Road just before it then right into Sandon Road and it will be easier to get into. Actually we liked everything about this hotel. Nothing. Nothing. nothing. We left our phone charger in room!. just the price a bit steep for a bed and breakfast it was cheaper last time. nothing bad at all. Nothing!. nothing. The front rooms are a bit noisy. Nothing, it's a little dated in its decor but that for the cost it is perfectly acceptable. Bath water too hot and unajustable. Restaurant not yet open - will be in near future. Can be a bit noisy at the front of the hotel. nothing. Decor is a bit dated, but no offensive. Bathroom a little cold and the shower somewhat unpredictable!. next to busy main road. Traffic on the main road was extremely busy which made travelling to the hotel difficult in rush hour. The stink of cigarette in the bathroom and the fact that it had no window so I had to keep the bedroom window wide open for over two hours to gte rid of the smell. The water temperature for the shower was variable, way too hot in one room, and hot and cold in the other. Water in the shower was either very hot or too cold but perhaps this is to do with being up on 2nd floor and the water pressure. A little dated but still comfortable. There was no food and drink provided other than breakfast time. Breakfast ended a little too early, 9:30 would have been better. Old fashioned . Bathroom cold. Bar and restaurant were closed at all times although a member of staff did advise that the restaurant was closed due to staffing. However no one manned the bar area. Tv was not working on the first night but was fixed for my second nights stay. This was only due to batteries not available. Next to a main road so was very loud at night time.
