This small hotel is all about the views, perched on top of a very steep hill with awesome postcard views of Goreme and surrounding areas. The common patio area and terraces were just so inviting and relaxing after a long day's sightseeing and a wonderful way to watch the sun set, even though the hotel itself is very close to sunset point.

Ahmet was extremely welcoming and helpful! We were offered an
additional breakfast the first morning we arrived, we took the night
bus and had a tour right after, so it was really nice. Btw, the
breakfast was excellent, the best we had in Turkey. Just before we left
(after a whole-day visiting), he said we could take a shower before
getting on the bus, which is really really nice!! We had the room on

I loved Local Cave Hotel. The manager Mehmet was supper nice giving me really good tips of what to do. With so much to do around Kappadokia, it helps to have someone pointing out the right direction with the best tour companies and restaurants to experience. Gultekin is a nice little place. The staff are very casual and nice,
though they don't speak English very well, they know enough to be
helpful. The shower was great, nice and hot with tons of water pressure.

staff is super friendly. Since I was arrive in the early morning they offer me the breakfast before even checkin. then offer the room for me to sleep before my room was ready.
They did have barbecue party almost everyday which is amazing and help to get to know people in the same hotel.
Location was great, sit right at the middle of city and almost the highest spot, so you can see 360 agree from the terrace.

We stayed 3 nights in Village Cave House Hotel and had a great time. The building itself was an old cave and our room was historically used as a kitchen. There was even an old fashion oven in the middle of the room- we loved it!! It was very nice and cosy. Also the owner was very helpful and friendly. An excellent amazing boutique hotel. Very friendly attentive staff who try to make you welcome. The hotel has excellent decoration, you will be surprised to see tastefully decorated each corner. Owners (father and daughter) are very hospitable, Staff (Serkan, Emrah, Emre, Sukru and others) are unbelievely attentive and make you at home.

Arif Hotel has been built on one of the best locations. I know many
people like downtown for accommodation but Arif Hotel definitely worth
the twice daily 5 minutes walk. It is only a few meters below the best
lookout point from which you can see clearly the hot air balloons at
sunrise and the beautiful sunsets. The hotel is a multi storey structure
partially carved in the rocks. The rooms are very clean, bed sheets and

The staff at the hotel was absolutely top-notch. Not only were they the helpful about arranging tours, recommending restaurants, even reserving out of town excursions, they were some of the friendliest people we met in Cappadocia. They do everything to help make your stay pleasant, and your visit to the area as effortless as possible. Ask for Ilknur and Kemal, they were terrific.

The suites were located close to town which made trips to grab a bite to
eat easily accessible. Staff spoke english very well and were more than
accomodating booking us tours, storing our luggage and offering us

Wow!!!! Possibly the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was
incredibly helpful. They were instrumental in helping us get some of our
lost luggage from Kayseri airport. They booked all the tours for us and
made our trip so effortless. The views from the room were spectacular.
We are the envy of all our friends when we show them the pictures of our
room. Will definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

My children and I stayed three nights. It's within walking distance of the bus station and about two kilometers from the Göreme Open Air Museum. In the other direction are some other ruins if you prefer something away from most of the tourists. The night and morning managers were the epitome of hospitality--answering questions, giving marvelous recommendations, offering apple tea and just overall being excellent hosts. The rooms were clean & spacious and the bathrooms were very nice. T

Breakfast was quite rich, buffet-style and typical.
The hotel had a private parking space and the view from our room was great: we had a large terrace in front of our stone accommodation and we could see Goreme and its Fairy Chimneys (at sunset that spot was wonderful).

The staff were very friendly and treat guests like family. We required medication stored in a fridge - no problem happy to oblige ( not everywhere likes this)
The pension offers traditional basic accommodation , turkish breakfast and its perfect for a few days stay.
Superb views of Goreme, very central to all sites to visit. Tours available from the staff if required.
Would stay there again.

Its a family run business. The two brothers were extremely helpful and
friendly. They gave us a feeling of family during our stay. We arrived
very late the first night. Ali, the big brother called the restaurant to

Grand Cave Suites was a magnificent place to stay; carved out of part of one of the many Faerie Chimneys there in Goreme, the rooms give you an amazing feeling of wonderment. Ours had two windows that opened to a beautiful view of Goreme and other carved sandstone-like spires. At sunrise, you could see many hot-air balloons ascending in the sky. Fabulous! The owner and manger so thoughtful. They called our room early (at 0700) to say breakfast was ready--in order to avoid the rush of a tour

The staff was courteous and very helpful with all our needs. The room was very large with king sized bed and a beautiful view for the local fairy chimneys which populate the valley. The pool was very pleasant, relaxing, and private. -
