  The receptionist was very nice but a little "not all there" which was really funny. It seemed to me he didn't speak too much Spanish (yes I know...) but we where able to understand each other eventually. The Hostal is perfectly located, right by Plaza Catalunha and a jump away from las Ramblas. Staff was very helpful and friendly. - Francesca and the rest of the gang were so warm and friendly. It felt like we were staying with extended family. The room we stayed in was beautiful, with original features. Felt like we were getting the true experience of Catalan culture. The location was excellent, situated right in the center of Barcelona, in the Las Ramblas area and by the Marina and beach.

  The location of the pension couldnt be more perfect. In 10-15 min walk, you'r at the beach and in 2 min, u're at La Rambla Street. The pension is located in a small alley so it is very quiet. The room was simple but clean. The air condition, which is a must in Barcelona in July, worked perfectly. In conclusion, it is a great value/money hotel. We loved our stay - We stayed twice in a room with private bathroom and will be coming back for sure. The hotel is extremely nice: the design is simple, but very nice, in white and blue tones, the bed was extremely comfortable, rooms had a small balcony, the bathroom was clean and neat, the reception was friendly and helpful. It is 2 min walk from Las Ramblas and Columbus. All in all, you get much more than you are paying for. 10 out of 10.
