  This was our third visit to the Cervantes, so you can see we like it! The staff, Fabio and his assistant, are very friendly, and you are at once on first name terms. The rooms are very small, so don't take too much luggage! They are comfortable and clean, and some are very quiet. The ancient lift, recently inspected for safety, is more efficient than many in large hotels! Above, all the location is excell - The Cervantes hostel is very well situated, 10 minutes walk to the Atocha train station and 10 minutes walk to the Puerta del Sol. Staff and owner are very kind, smart people. Bed is very comfortable, claned rooms and bathrooms, which are inside the rooms.

  It took about 15 min by walk from the Atocha to the hostal. And it is right opposite to the Prado Museum. For a late visit there, this could be ideal. The room is not very small considering what usually the location will imply. Room is clean and tidy. I especially like the small details of their linen which gave comfort to one's stay. There're also cafe and restaurants around, virtually solves a - The hotel is not very fancy, but has all the essentials (including wifi), and it is very clean. The location is very good as well, being close to the main museums and many popular bars and restaurants. Also, the Atocha railway station is close by, which includes an express bus to the airport which runs day and night at high frequency. In summary I would say the hotel is very good value for money indeed.

  Room was so clean, sheets fresh and crisp, so quiet, family run hostal, everyone including the parents pleasant and lovely. The two brothers do a marvelous job. Our train back to Barna was not til 530 so they kept our bags after we checked out at 9 am until about 4 when we started for the train.   The location was excellent - within easy walking distance to central Madrid attractions - literally 5 minutes to the Prado. Also close to shops, a laundromat, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the metro. The hosts didn't speak much English but were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it.   The hotel was in the perfect location. Very close to the museums, plazas, restaurants and shops. It was much better than we expected for such a low price! They cleaned the room every day and the hotel was very quiet. We highly recommend! - great small hostal with really nice helpful service!!! Location is perfect to explore the city by foot.
