The balcony, shaped tub, remote controlled curtains, reflective glass, see-through glass, mirrors, and lighting, all contributed to an intimate setting. The hotel's library, livingroom, artwork, outdoor space with sunhats - We enjoyed the juxtaposition of the historic building and painted ceilings against the modern decor. The staff was very helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations and directions to the sites. The breakfasts were delicious and diverse (instead of the bread and coffee most B&Bs serve). It was extremely clean and very intimate given there are only 7 rooms. We ate breakfast on the private patio every morning where we enjoyed architecture hidden from passersby on the street.   Staff were friendly, polite. Was simple and easy to check in, no fuss at all. The place was spotless all the time, daily service of beds being made never disturbed us. Shared bathroom was not an issue at all, as there was a toilet, shower room and bath/shower room right outside our door. If you like to walk, close enough to walk to beach and other sites in Barcelona. The shared bathroom facilities were never a problem; access to computer and printer a plus. Staff were all great to answer questions in English. Would stay again if ever back in the area.
