  Staff was very friendly. The cafe downstairs was a nice place to sit and have a drink. Rooms were clean and comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, they do not clean and change linen or towels during your stay (we stayed 4 nights), but this was O.K. with us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we returned to Krakow! - It was amazing value for money. The cafe/reception was one of my favourite things in Krakow with great food, drink and prices and the atmosphere was second to none. The staff were SO nice and the rooms are warm, clean and comfortable. I have stayed here twice and will stay here again for sure.

The position is perfect, between Kazimierz (the Jewish Quarter full of bars, pubs, restaurants) and historical city centre, you can reach everything by walking. Wonderful heating and very friendly, relaxed, helpful manager of the hotel. He speaks wonderfully English. Hotel is 20 - 25 minutes from Central Station by foot. From there connection to the airport. Kiosk, and a little supermarket with good prices and (a part of the week) long opening-hours, are very close. Hotel is as well only a short distance away from Wawel, the old Royal Castle.

  The staff of the Hotel Alef was fantastic. They were all (and that is rare) incredible friendly and helpful and were willing to organize everything in a blink of an eye. They answered my e-mails sent before the trip promptly.The room was very basic, but perfectly clean and the bathroom was renovated. The lobby, common areas and the breakfast room ... ce que les gens disent » were all very personally designed and walls were full of paintings-loved the individual touch everywhere. Location was perfect, right beside the castl - The hotel Alef was extremely clean and had charm and character, with great paintings and ornaments throughout. I loved the power shower and had no complaints with the breakfast buffet~ simple but effective. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking into Krakow centre. The staff were nice and helpful and my group of friends and I would certainly stop again :)
