I simply cannot stand any place where the staff appear subservient. Here the balance was perfect. Cleanliness 10/10.   Stayed for a weekend, booked a standard double room for one person via letsbookhotel.com. Nice price, 1800 nok for two nights including breakfast. Finding the hotel is easy, it's next to Stortinget in the centre of Oslo. I contacted the hotel in advance of my arrival, asking for a room with a window towards the street. They responded - Perfect central location. 1 minute from the Parliament, 3 minutes to the Town Hall and harbour. Less than 10 min walk from main train station. Staff very friendly, we even got upgraded from a superior room to a suite. Very clean. Breakfast selection very very good. Free wi-fi included, plus 2 PCs in the lobby connected to a printer, so we managed to check in and print our boarding passes on our last day.

I interacted with several of them over three days both to change rooms (I asked if I could move to the front) and due to a lost baggage issue I was having with the airline. I did move to the front where the room's high ceilings and high windows over looking the park were fabulous. It's a one block walk to the Nationaltheatret train/metro station (so getting to and from OSL airport is a breeze!) You're also within easy walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions. The room (I had a double) was quite nice, with large windows and high ceilings. Their breakfast was also on point (definitely worth waking up for, especially given how expensive food is in Norway.)   The hotel was VERY cheap for a Central Oslo location, had everything you needed, receptionists very friendly and always happy to help (particularly Herman and Anniken), free breakfast kept me full throughout the day and saved me money, bathroom was in the room unlike other hostel-like accommodation I've stayed in, free WiFi was a big positive - B... ce que les gens disent » reakfast is very good (nothing missing).
