Patrick, the owner spoke to us personally and gave us a little history about the Riad as well as sitting down and taking the time to draw us some local maps on how to get to key areas (Marrakech medina is a maze!).   Hotel Chems is a wonderful oasis far enough away from the chaos of the city! You can walk back from the main square past the beautiful church and through the beautiful gardens. The hotel is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and it’s the perfect place to relax in Morocco without breaking the bank! We enjoyed drinking cocktails by the pool and relaxing in the cool water - Great value for money. We stayed here for our last 2 nights in Marrakech, having stayed the first 5 in a riad. It was nice to relax by the pool on the sun loungers. It wasn't too busy we got sun loungers each day. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was included with lots to choose from. We went into the main square for dinner so can't comment but the lunch was nice, they do a different special everyday which is cheaper than everything else but not on the main menu so so keep an eye o
