Queue there near 35 minutes , then get the room key to check-in,after driving feel very tired already but reached hotel still want to wait so long,a bit not satisfied.
The pool is not so deep.All of us have fun. Breakfast is ok.
We check in late at 3.30pm but room is still not ready.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location. Right at the heart of Malacca. Most places of interest were within walking distance. Lots of dining and shopping areas nearby.
The apartments were a little run down. They can improved on the cleanliness of the washroom and the overall outlook of the apartment.
We connot enter the swimming pool because didnt were swimming suit..its to bad for us to take care of my kids..the hotel did not tell proppely about that.
Our room was very comfy and clean. The hotel staff and even the cleaner was very helpful and warm. One of the reception counter staf mr andrew attended me and my family very warm and helpfull.

I stayed on the 5th floor. The bath tub water strength was weak. Ask for the maintainence guy for help. He told me reason due to my room is on the high floor, low pressure. I find this answer stupid. But there is nothing I could do. So am I supposed to take low floor like 2nd level in future?

The pools are lovely, the room clean and comfortable. The sea view was great.
There is a busy main road to cross outside to reach the shops.
Close to Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan and night Bazaar
Low water pressure for shower and no pedestrian bridge/underpass for us pedestrian to get to the other side of the busy highway from the hotel to the shopping centre

My children love the swimming pool and the conveniance location for food and pasar malam.
clean environment, strategic locations and their staff are very helpful and friendly.
The place is clean and comfortable to stay.....especially within vicinity of shopping centres and eating places.
Wifi is not free. A fee of rm10.00 is charged for a device. I don't mind if is rm10.00 but it must be extended to more than one device.
Due to I night I don't explore much but the short sting here will meka me to come again. It's a good hotel.

The location, facilities and accommodation are all very inviting. It made our stay pleasant and convenient.
The location is strategic because I just have to walk out 5mins to get everything that I need. I love the room that simple but elegant.
Cleanliness I rated as fair as the room is a bit dusty.The friendliness of front desk. Seems like they have to attend to me and I knew that I've made last minute booking and I'm not sure if they don't have enough room to sell and occupancy is super high, but at least they need to show some friendliness to the new guest.
The room was clean and well maintained. Nice sea view and friendly housekeeping staff.
Second time stay in Mahkota and requested Chinese news paper during booking and check-in, but still get English paper for the first day. Reminded the front desk, and at least this time they sent some local staff which was friendly and polite. My request was immediately look into and it was OK for the next two day. However, they still sent me STAR for the last day. Not knowing why, if it is policy, then, it is polite to call and acknowledge. Still lacking the personal touch.

Timming of the swimming pool is bad they close it at 10:00 pm I think they should open it at least till 11 pm.
The check in staff were very friendly and helpfull. The location of the hotel is excellent with only a short walk to the main attractions of Melaka. The grounds and facilities of the hotel were great , my kids loved the pool with the water slides.
While the hotel looks very nice from the outside and the grounds etc are impressive, the rooms are very old and dated, our room even had a lovely iron scorch mark in the carpet .

Mahkota Hotel is always our choice whenever we make a trip to Malacca. It is a very family friendly hotel and we like it very much. However, the hotel should put more effort to upkeep the rooms and some of the staff are not so friendly but if your are lucky enough, you will be entertained by those staff who are so friendly and customer oriented. Food and facilities are good.
