  Loved the hotel's location. It's very accessible from the Osaka Park Subway Stop on the JR Loop. Makes it super easy to get around and it's lovely to get up early and go for a walk in the park! We paid extra for a room with a castle view and it was well worth it. However I couldn't tell the room we had was a smoking room to begin with, and my nose is very sensitive and I had n - The castle-view room at the 12th floor is very spacious for a couple. You have a nice view of the Osaka Castle & Park and the river. The nearest station is Osaka-jokoen, a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There is a convenience store at the nearby building but it closes at 11pm. From the Kansai airport (night arrival), it is more convenient to take the airport limo bus to Hankyu Hotel, then take the taxi to New Otani.

  The hotel is beautiful, fancy, very clean and the room was big and comfortable. The staff was excellent, could speak English very well and was always helpful. They have directions printed out to major attractions and can explain every step of the trip very well. The staff also gives good advice on where to go and what to do in Osaka. Great location, across from Minami district, full of shops, restaurants etc. there is also - We stayed three separate nights during our two week tour to Japan. First night in Japan, straight from Kensai Airport, it was the best choice for our fairly late arrival. On our third visit we were told they had upgraded us to a larger room, which also had a larger and -for us- a more comfortable bed (most beds in Japan are fairly hard). Each time he staff was extremely courteous and could not be faulted on. On our last day in Osaka our plane did not leave until evening, but there was no prob
