in mind you are not paying for a 5 start hotel, so it simply is not fair
to go in with such expectations. This is a very strong 2 star hotel (4

It's a quiet place with Arno river view, Florence bridges very
clean, the staff is very nice, and helpful. After a long day in the
attraction you can relax in your room looking the river and the other
side of the town. Few blocks away from the train terminal and
attraction. I really recommend this hotel if you visit Florence. Good
service in the breakfast, good espresso and delicious hot chocolate.

Location - The staff were very helpful. Our room was reasonable in size. Our rate did not include a breakfast but other hotels similarly priced did include a breakfast. It was a good location.

The hotel is a nice mix of modern and old. The rooms are nicely appointed-the bed is relatively comfortable. The breakfast was quite good and the breakfast area is nice-particularly if you can sit in the courtyard. The location of the hotel is fantastic as it sits right in the Piazza so it was a great launching point. The room was quiet because it did not face the Piazza so keep this in mind when booking. The father/son owners, Luigi and Mario, work hard to create an affordable, welcoming and convenient place for travelers to Florence. The center of town is close enough to walk for those inclined (15 minutes) or short cab ride for those not so inclined. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean and quiet.

Still close to city center if you like to walk. Very friendly stuff, found good solutions for us parking. Room at the top floor had a beautiful view and the terrace at the evening was great. There is a pizza place very close, just over the bridge - very local place. -

Staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable and at home. Kitchen was very cozy and overall location was excellent- walking distance to all main Florence attractions. Accommodations were simple, but met our needs. -

I am totally satisfied with this booking (the hardware, the service,
location, the pricing). I should say this is the best hotel I've
ever lived during the past 20 days vacation in Italy and Greece.
Unlike the rooms of most hotels in European tourist cities, the room offered by this hotel is quite spacious.

The strongest points of this hotel are the owners/staff and the
location, and there are quite a few other nice things about it.
Luciana and Luciano, the brother and sister who own/run(?) the place, are lovely, lovely people, kind and most helpful. They're also very quick to respond to emails.
The location is great, if a bit hard to find (if you're relying on GoogleMaps, that is -- get a REAL map!). It's a few meters away from Piazza di Signoria (which is right next to the Galleria Uffizi) and
