  Sunrise Hotel is five minutes walking away from the city center and from the Caldera. It is run by wonderful persons that made us feel like at home. The swimming pool is very nice. Rooms are absolutely ok and price we paid for our 7 nights in the Hotel was really lower than what one would expect from such an accommodation. At the Hotel you can rent a vehicle and book guided tours to the volcano, hot springs (which really deserve a visit) - The staff / owners went out of their way for us. Even arranging red roses and french champagne in the room as a special treat for my daughter from her boyfriend back home. The offer to pick us up from the port and also drop us at the airport was a wonderful help.

  we thought the rooms themselves were charming - very airy and quite roomy with pleasing decor loved the big shuttered windows i especially enjoyed the pool and surroundings. We were surpeised and pleased to see how close to the central township of Thira we were and the bus station which we needed. It wasn't directly in any of the cities which was very nice. You will most likely want a car, but we talked to the front desk and reserved on for us. Stay here and you won't be disappoin - everything is beyond expectation It's a excellent stopover on the way from the port to Fira. Actually it's in the middle of the island. There is a bus stop in front of the Kalisperis Hotel.You spend one third price of the hotels in Fira or Oia, and you get quietness. Beside,there are 2 supermarkeks in 5 minutes walking distance. everything there is cheapper than other markets on this island.

  The staff, especially the proprietress, were really helpful friendly and thoughtful. They all spoke good English. We immediately felt at home - among friends. Our room was pleasant, airy and had a view of the sea from its balcony. We made good use of the tiny whitewashed traffic free streets (well apart from the occasional motorbike or mule train) that we accessed from the - Would recommend this hotel. Eva, the hostess is a wonderfully friendly and helpful person. We didn't arrive until midnight, she left us a welcome note and instructions about the key. She went so far as to make us a take-away breakfast when we had to leave to catch the midnight ferry. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is meticulously clean, and the beds are the softest I've experienced in Greece so far. The pool area is as good as any luxury hotel, and the outdoor gardens are lovely.

  Excellent hôtel, nous avons tout adoré durant ce séjour. Nous y serions bien restées!!!! Pas de déjeuner mais suffisamment de resto à Fira pour trouver quelque chose... La tranquillité de l'endroit fut bien appréciée... Et surtout, la gentillesse du personnel malgré notre arrivée tardive bien après la fermeture de la réception. Et d'être venu nous... ce que les gens disent » amener au port à 6h am pour prendre notre ferrie! - L'excellence de l' accueil et du service. Comme nous n'avions que 30 heures dans l'île, on nous a aidés à préparer un programme de visites nous permettant d'aller à l'essentiel. Et le patron lui-même nous a conduits gratuitement à l'aéroport. On ne pouvait demander mieux.
