Our visit was in November 2013. The family that run Gasthaus zur Rose are very helpful and friendly. They even picked us up and drove us to the train station so we didn't have to worry about carrying our bags. Beautiful house, large room with balcony. The owner is very friendly. She picked me up in Triberg station. And with the black forest card, the transports within the region is free. Everything was amazing when I stayed there.

We loved the hotel which was situated on the Rein and easy access to all the attactions. The owners our a delightful couple, who lived in Canada for 8 years and speak perfect English. There guest come back every year and it is like going home. We had dinner with the owners and a few guest at a near by restaurant and it was a special evening. The

Romance?! This hotel is it. You are literally on bank of the Rhine River. The room my in-laws had had a window out to the bridge in one direction and down the Rhine the other. Our room overlooked the bridge. Wow. Everything was spot-on perfect and just what we needed to wrap up a perfect Swiss vacation. The hotel restaurant was closed on Monday night so we ate at Gasthaus Hirschen in Gailingen. The German food was excellent.
