Excellent location, very close to train station and many restaurants...just a few steps to the lovely lake area. It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags). I had a single room, which was small, but served the purpose that I needed. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and I really appreciated the free wifi! The shower had great water pressure and overall the room was just fine. Not fancy, but again, it served my purpose and I loved the location. -

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, very close to the subway, and perhaps 15 minutes walk to the train station. Good location of the hotel. The hotel staff tries to maintain the purity, cleaning and change of towels every day, all disinfected. Breakfast, of course, simple, in particular, for those who like variety, but everything is fresh. Table neatly arranged.
One of the advantages of the hotel is the absence of noise.

This is an older German gasthäus so it is what it is. However, you would
be hard put to find a modern hotel as clean as this place. It was
spotless. My room, #21, was very quiet and comfortable. I also felt very
safe in the area. There is a smell that is apparent when the room is
shut up for a while, but again, not because of lack of cleanliness.

I've stayed here numerous times, love the central location near the main train station and the happening street nearby with cafes, bars and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Never tried the breakfast as I usually go to one of the nearby cafes or bakeries due to sleeping in. It's always my first choice to stay here. Free wifi. Some rooms have no bathroom, so you need to make sure what you're after...

Proximité du centre ville - Un bon rapport qualité-prix pour Hambourg. Un bel effort sur la déco durez-de-chaussée. Chambre propre mais ordinaire. La rue qui va vers lagare n'est peut-être pas accueillante, mais la rue qui va vers le lac(Danziger Str. ) est beaucoup plus agréable.
