  The hostel is situated very well to tour Berlin. Trains and Underground are close by. Great staff that was very helpful and friendly at all times. The rooms were tidy, so were the bathrooms. The breakfast was of good quality and the price of 5 Euro more than adequate. Parking was available to us even without a reservation.   My sister and I highly recommend Hotel Pension Funk. The atmosphere was one of comfort and class. There were fresh flowers, pictures of former film star Asta Nielson and period furniture. Its location was excellent as well, near public transportation, excellent restaurants and shopping. - Lots of character; it was once the home of the great German silent film actress Astra Nielsen. Good location in Charlottenburg. Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, good value. I would recommend staying here once for the atmosphere; I might go back but I'll probably look around some more. Tat being said, I'm glad I stayed here.
