After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

Our room was delightful, having a beautiful decorated ceiling and stained glass windows. The room was large and the bathroom was separate.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the front of house staff spoke good English.
WiFi was free but was inconsistent during our stay. The staff was very apologetic about this so this was unusual.

Great location, Quiet, Great street with shopping and restaurants, huge 2 room sweet, comfy bed, great breakfast, nice staff, clean. very close to st charles bridge, is up a hill so you will walk a lot. 5 min walk to bridge, 15 min walk to downtown and clock, Great place stay here !!! strongly recommend

We had a warm welcoming by a man who was very informative and helpful. All the other staff members were mostly great also (a family is running the hotel). Our room was fantastic with a great view. Excelent location, 5 minutes from the castle. Great to come back from
the city at the end of the day, chill out in the bar next door and then
come back to the castle to enjoy the night. The way to the guesthouse
(it's not a hotel) is a little steep (Nerudova st) so if you are
coming from the metro station or even from the square nearby, hold your
breath (beautiful little street though!)! Breakfast simple but nice.

We(5 inc a child) stayed 2 days there. Rooms are spacious,high ceiling, clean and comfortable, the old building brings a special atmosphere. Very very good location. Dining is easy coz this hotel also runs its own restaurant. Different experience from the modern hotels. Would like to stay again.

This is the very nice hotel. There are so kind staff, a breakfest is not bad, a big pretty room, everyday cleaning, etc. Important for turists it is a very good place. The many touristic objects are right there, just 5-10 minutes by walk.

The location is great, in the heart of the city but not in the crazy heart. You go up there is the castle you go down there is the Charl's bridge. On the way amazing restaurants very cheap and delicious. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is good. Close to the park where you can have picnic with the view to the city. Staff is very friendly.

Lenka and Tanya were beyond amazing. With Lenka's knowledge of where to dine, ( we had dinner 3 times at the cozy 'Little Whale'. The food was outstanding. Everything! The room was very spacious and the whole hotel was beautifully finished. Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect, being close enough to all the main sites but being quiet enough to get away from the crowds. Being a smaller hotel, it felt like very personal service and attention to detail. They also brought us a bottle of wine when they knew it was my husband's birthday which was a very lovely gesture.

The location is perfect! It just locates on the mountain where has the castle and many green trees.
The staff are nice and helpful, they helped us to find which tram we should take since the Charles Bridge was closed in the reason of flud:( But it's very close to the old town. just take 15-minute walk through another bridge.

We stayed at 10 mixed dorm but in fact it was two separate rooms for 5 ppl both. We had our separate bath and toilet for 10 ppl. Plus there were additional bath and toilet on the floor so we never had problems with having shower. In general there very much space and flowers in the corridors and a nice terrace on the top floor. It is in the very centry and each time you have nice chance to cross Charles bridge. and administration staff is great!!
