We arrived two hours before check-in, but got the room after five minutes, we were also offered juice, beer and cake upon arrival. Maria sat down with is, and showed on a map how to get to the beach, supermarket, bus station etc. Our room was ok size, and had a freezer. The bathroom was also OK size. We had breakfast every day at the terrace, with a spectacular view of the city and mountains, and you could also see the water and beach. Maria made us tea or coffee, and some sweets/ cake even tho. tous commentaires »
Our hosts Joseph and Maria were very kind, assisted us in anyway possible and offered us coffee and fruit each morning, as well as the pleasure of their company. Views from room are spectacular, beds extremely comfortable and location quiet but close enough public transport and restaurants and beaches. Do yourself a favour and stay at Villa Bakara when you visit Dubrovnik-we have returned twice now and wouldnt stay anywhere else!.
fantastic hospitality service. When we arrived he was there waiting for us. He gave us a welcome like in a family and he had all the information on the city ready for us and explained everything about the city and suggested the best things to do. Not even in top hotels you have a welcome like that. Rooms were comfort and clean. It was the best place we stayed in Croatia, while we traveled around Croatia. Hope to see you soon.
Joseph and Maria were brilliant hosts, absolutely immaculate room everyday. They were very friendly and were very considerate taking in our towels if a storm was due, even washing them on occasion which was a good surprise. on arrival was offered drinks and shown how to get to the beach and all of the other attraction of the area. Always greeted with a smile and made our stay very enjoyable.
The family was very nice and made us feel like home. They shared many local secrets with us, as well as; provided assistance when we needed it. The host was very nice and drove us to the bus station when it was time to leave!.
The owner is very nice and we had a very pleasant stay in Villa Bakara. Very convenience to the supermarket and lots of restaurants nearby. If I will go to Dubrovnik again, I will stay in her Villa again.
The landlords were great and extremely helpful, my child got ill and I received all necessary assistance! The terrace was amazing, especially for our baby.
Close to cafes and restaurants. Close to bus stop. Sea view from terrace. Good storage and lighting. Very friendly and helpful owner.
Very Nice view
Good value for money
Proximity to the beach and Lapad city center (restaurants, bar).
Very nice accommodation, very friendly owner, very clean room!!!.
Very nice and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Only that we couldn't stay longer.
The only real flaw would be the location which requires climbing 400 odd steps from the beach and strip but is manageable if fully fit. (wouldn't recommend for elderly or handicapped).
It was quite high up a hill. If you don't like walking up stairs, it may be difficult.
This is not a problem of this particular apartment, but Dubrovnik is a very difficult place for a woman with a child... There were too many hills and steps for me with the stroller...
Very nice bathroom EXCEPT layout was poor! So little space between toilet and basin that my poor knees found it difficult. Add a grab rail on wall and less agile travellers will thank you!.
Too many steps on the way to Villa Bakara.
