This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. WAY better than I was expecting. We had the family room with two bedrooms and one bathroom all to ourselves. The beds were comfortable and had cool headboards. There was a pretty garden, a good cafe with coffee and food and a stiff gin and tonic, and a few nice people hanging around but not too crowded.

I am a huge fan of the Chinese styled architecture in Mingtown Etour. Love love love those cats in the hostel, love the ornate room and love the bar/cafe by the little fish pond. It's been a great experience living in Mingtown.
The location is great (right in the middle of Shanghai), you can walk to so many places from there or take the tube so easily - the tube station is just under 10-min walk away!

nearby. Close to subway stations and YuYuan Garden. The staff speaks
good English. There is filtered hot water in the public kitchen and they
have a thermo kettle in the rooms with mugs that you can use. It is a

Location was wonderful! The staff can speak english, not fluently, but they will make an effort to help you if you ask. There is a communal kitchen where you can heat stuff up and a communal water cooker; you get a thermos bottle and you can fill that to make tea or something in your room. This hostel will provide a wonderful sleeping arrangement and good access to Shanghai: three main subway stations nearby ( dashijie (5min walking distance), peopl's square (10 min), yuyuan station(10min))

Everything you'd expect from a YHA. Great location, not far from East Nanjing Rd Subway station. The staff are helpful and friendly. Almost all the staff spoke English. I stayed in a private double room and it was spacious and clean enough, the bathroom is very good, and the mattress OK. Wifi in the room. Quiet at night. Perfect location, close to the main street to go shopping, and to the line 2 metro station which takes you straight to Pudong.

friendly, funny and helpful staff. they speak english pretty well and make it feels like home. very nice and smart design for such small place. pretty clean for chinese standard. would recommend especially a solo traveller who would like to stay late drinking at the bar. easy to find from metro station line 2 and near a very lively Nanjing road. We stayed in a double room for one night only and were happy with the hostel. Nice big, clean room with a great view, big new bathroom. Shanghai Blue Mountain Bund Youth Hostel is a hidden in a side road (great as not too noisy) but has a GREAT location, about 3-4 minutes to Nanjing Road metro station. You need to look for the sign though as there is a few hotels/hostels in the same building. Staff was friendly and spoke good english. There are plenty of places to eat around as well as supermar

I took a single room for one night and I liked the atmosphere of the hostel very much. It is located in a nice street, not far away from the tube station and absolutely in the center. Everything is nearby. I would highly recommend the hostel. -

very friendly environment, nice people.. perfect location in the center of shanghai, but in the same time far from the noisy crowds. rooms are rather clean and lobby cafe is very cozy. -

This is a choice for accommodation that delivers on multiple aspects. When one thinks of Shanghai, The Bund pops up not long after. This hostel's locations is ideally ON THE BUND!!l!! Brilliant location right by the Bund, excellent places to eat nearby.
Short easy walk to Metro 10 mins max but lots of cheap taxis at the end
of the road. The friendly staff spoke English and gave 5 star service!
Nothing was too much trouble. We had a triple room on 4th floor with
free wifi in the room and free internet in a computer room on the same
floor!! The beds were comfortable and clean, shower powerful and hot.
For less than £7 per night per person, in our triple room I have no
complain

Overall okay place to stay. Although I would consider it a plan B if everything around the peoples square is full. Room was spacious, clean bed, toiletries are provided. A 10 minute walk to the nearest subwaystation. Staff was helpfull. The airconditioning did a good job at keeping us warm. Good wifi.
