Watch out for the city taxi drivers waiting in front of the hotel. Half of them take chances with the fee they charge the other half charge what they are supposed too.

Wi-Fi connection is not available in the room (407). Elevators do not work properly. Guest have to spend long time to wait an elevator comes.
The staff was very helpful and very nice. The hotel is located near the centre of the city. The parking in realy safe (guarded and free of charge during the stay). The breakfast was very good.
The bathroom was not very clean (the toilet seat had spots, as if it was not cleaned).

Great location, only ten minute walk to all of the major sites in the city center, and shops, cost per night was brilliant value for money, I loved the fact that it had a lovely gym and swimming pool which was very clean and well kept. Great choice of healthy food for breakfast and staff was attentive and helpful, all round a good place to stay, there is even a hotel Casino for those that want the experience of Gambling.Loved Sofia a great place to go to experience the capital of Bulgaria, full of places of historical interest which are easy to get to, especially take a visit to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral amazing.
No Negatives really , slight issue with cleaners in the rooms not mopping the bathroom floor at all in the 3 nights that I stayed there, but other than that no real problems.

The receptionist was untrustworthy. Although she had my booking with all my details, including my bank card, she insisted to pay the room up front.
It was my second time when I stayed with Princess Hotel and I should say this time I received much better impressions vs. Nov. 2012. First of all the room on 11 floor (before it was 5th floor) given to us was bigger and cleaner, furniture is not old (at least it looked like), with necessary facilities (slippers, shower-gel, conditioner for hairs etc.). I noted improvements around breakfast. Water in the swim pool was nice, not too cold as before... Free bus-shuttle to airport which transfers you upon schedule convinced me that I am your client, dear Sofia Princess Hotel.

The heating sistem of the hunior suite was not working properly. But they fixed it.
Every time when I visit Sofia, I stay in this hotel. Staff (especially at reception) is always good and this time there is a big improvement about the foods at breakfast and the restaurant...

Price Location
Airco wasn't working although it was 30 degrees Celcius Swimming pool outdated, and swimming was only allowed with a swimming cap. Staff not too helpful, we had to continue asking, no spontaneous advice or tips. Example: we wanted to visit to the Vitosha park, but it wasn't so clear to us how to get there and what we could do there. We hardly got any information, just short answers to our questions.

We liked the spa and the packages however the price was a bit over the top for Bulgarian standards. The business and conference service were excellent. At last minute they were able to setup my needs for a conference room rental and prepare fully with the time they had.
Price of the spa is about 2-3 times more than other spas in the area. The beds are absolutely terrible. We had a Suite and still it would have been better to sleep directly on the floor, and I would have if it weren't for the fact that the carpets show an age of about 25 years... Overall, there are much better hotels in the area that are more comfortable and where you don't have to deal with bus loads of casino players filling the lobby.

Too much noise in the corridors, no matter day and night. And the newly implemented fee for short time visitors.
It's a convenient walk from the bus station, Free airport shuttle, casino attached, Staff are always pleasant.
Looking very tired. needs major upgrade. No face cloths,( wash cloths) in Bathroom which forces one to use larger towels. The tea now comes in a big pre-made urn, no cold milk for drinking or cereal at breakfast.

Very cheap furnishing, poorly designed bathroom, which can cause accident when go to toilet inside bathroom, no sound proof windows & doors, even at 12 floor,can hear all the traffic, neighbors both up- down floor & hall way, things all very old. Only lobby appears better. Wifi very weak in the room.
Hotel is way below the expectations. Staff is Not friendly at all. We made rezervation for a king bed but we got two single beds. The rooms are terrible--old, dirty and small. Hotel has a casino but if you like gambling definitly go to Turkish Cyprus. Whole Hotel needs renevation.
I have booked for superior room but they have given normal standar room.. This is scandal..
