  We stayed in the Gastenkamers (B&B) which were just up the road from the hotel itself. The room was charming and very large with an ingenious "fold-out" balcony.   THere was a really nice relaxed and friendly bar in the hotel with nice beers. The room was very clean and comfortable and the showeroom and toilet very nicely decorated. Good shower. We enjoyed being quite high up in the eaves. Breakfast room was beautifully decorated and relaxing and we ate very well. We parked in one of the many carparks - the town is really very nice. - The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, bright and quiet; similarly the bathroom. Beds provided a good night's sleep. Parking outside on a Sunday evening was easy and free. The town itself is lovely and a great place either to stop for the historic sites or en route before or after crossing the Channel. We will certainly stay there again.

  The staff are so helpful nothing is to much trouble, we were a group travelling on motorbikes they even gave us their garage to park our bikes in. - The friendly staff. Very helpful. Jer drove me to a cemetery which was very helpful and when I went to train station he also drove me. Very kind

  La literie et la propreté. - We loved the hospitality. Rita was very friendly and helpful. We rented the bikes which were in great condition and biked to Westvletern which was a flat 5 mile ride away. We also took advantage of the complimentary beer. Hotel is a good base to explore the area. Would recommend to anyone. Glad we booked this hotel for our visit.

  Wally's restaurant is fantastic, best evening of our trip. Wally sings Elvis' songs on Fridays and Saturdays only 500m from the hotel. The food is very tasty and there is a large selection of beers, including St Bernardus 8 on tap. Excellent! Breakfast was typical continental and was always fresh, a good selection of meat and cheeses, various types of bread and preserves, pastries etc. Fruit juice, coffee and cereals also available.Very nice. Would definitely stay there again.
