Pat was delightful. Friendly, helpful with information and always available. The room had a washer and dryer. A big deal when you're on a long trip. Very nice
The room was advertised to have a view of the fountain. It had a view of the wall. Not a big deal but not what we expected
The room was gorgeous & reception very friendly.
Patio way too small & I thought I requested a view of the garden but all I had a view of was the brick wall. No matter the stay was very pleasant.
Extra touches Lovely cake Beautiful sheets comfortable bed Extremely homely Friendly hostess
Excellent location and old world charm, the room and decore was very nice
Had noisy and disruptive occupants in the room above Breakfast included a voucher for a local bakery which was very crowded - long wait for sit down breakfast
A great location right in the centre of Freemantle and an absolutely beautiful B&B. The rooms are stunning
Friendly service , comfortable , great ambiance
Pat the manager was very friendly and helpful. Lovely building in pretty gated courtyard, just a few steps from Freo centre. Everything we needed, including a comfortable bed.
You can hear noises from the other rooms and the rest of the building (e.g. The washing machine) as some other people have commented, but this did not concern us. It is a B+B after all and not a soulless hotel, so it is similar to staying in a private house, which we liked.
The setting was charming and in the heart of Fremantle. Awesome location. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
Balcony looked at a brick wall.
Convenient location pleasant walks around town. Old charming building complimented by other old buildings near-by. Clean amenities and friendly staff.
The Duyfken Suite was snug, comfortable, charming and private. The staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Port Mill B & B is secure and tucked away. I loved it so much I have already booked my next stay!!!
Great location, excellent communication and service, very clean.
The bed was very hard.
Loved the location, right in the centre of town, food, entertainment, shopping. Nice touch with afternoon tea and very friendly owner.
Change the continental B/F its ok but it could be superb add more freo touches. Use local produce, don't cut the fruit up add a nice pastry remove croissant ( can't toast)
Breakfast at cafe, location - right in centre of freo but tucked away, free wifi, deep bath, selection of complimentary tea and coffee, juice, cereal, cake each day
Bathroom light long way from bedroom door, air con a bit noisy
Charming French ambience in the Leeuwin suite. Intimate feel. Breakfast vouchers for the Two reubens cafe across the street which does fabulous eggs benedict! Lovely courtyard with Tuscan atmosphere. Clean, quiet considering location.
Rowdy revellers in the adjoining wine bar late Saturday night. Make sure you bring ear plugs, just in case.
Perfect location, stylishly decorated & cosy room, great breakfasts at Cafe across the road
could have been a bit more soundproof, could hear people talking through the walls occassionally
It was a great location, right in the middle of Freemantle. Really cosy, comfortable room with good amenities. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Perfect for a short stay. If you are after a traditional, period style of accommodation , this is it.
We really couldn't fault this place except that you will have to pay extra for parking if you have a car.
Location. Very short walking distance to to restaurants, shopping and other attractions
They overstated what could be expected from what turned out to be a very small balcony that 2 people could possibly sit on if they were up close and personal and the blank wall we were facing was hardly as described as overlooking a fountain in a courtyard. I selected the room on this basis and we were dissapointed in the misrepresentation. AC was very noisy.. We enjoyed our stay because we always make the best of what we experience
Awesome location in Fremantle and the B&B and room presentation were exceptional. Quaint little bedroom and lovely big bathroom and bath, and the carrot cake, biscuits and chocolates on arrival were greatly appreciated.
Our room was on the second floor and whilst there was no street noise, we could hear other guests and also a lot of pipework noise.
The establishment reminded us of being in a french villa. The room was very comfortable and clean. Balcony was a treat . Light breakfast in room was handy otherwise 'Two Rubens' across street was very bohemian and tasty. Very boutique with everything close at hand re cafe and restaurants.
Some street noise can be heard at night other than that all good.
I booked in last minute and am glad I did, I even extended my stay, a place to gather my thoughts just the place warm friendly and great location thankyou
everything
nothing
Lovely character setting close to everything in Fremantle . Loved all the little treats left & breakfast !!!
Light switch on outside door wall & noisy fan in Bathroom but only a minor nuance
Super place. Nice location tucked away off a little courtyard. Friendly helpful owner. Nice room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Convenient situation to walk to anywhere in Fremantle.
Can't think of anything!
Great location, wonderful staff and relaxing stay.

lovely breakfast
Lovely feel and lots of nice finishing touches like cake and breakfast. Also nice to have the cafe breakfast over the road.
Parking is a little difficult.
A charming B&B with plenty of character; we loved the view of the courtyard and its fountain from our little balcony. Nice touches such as cake and biscuits in our room (though dangerous for the waistline!). A perfect location in Fremantle, close to cafes, shops and the market. Next time we visit Freo, we'll stay there again.
The courtyard entrance is so inviting and the touches in the room of homemade cake and biscuits and (chocolates) to make a cup of tea after travelling was just beautiful. We certainly hope to return and will be telling our friends from the country.
Loved the verandah overlooking the courtyard. Loved the white walls and white bedding. Staff so helpful.
Could have had a bit more storage space, we had three weeks of luggage with us! Not that much of a problem though.
the overall feel of port mill. Very quaint. Friendly receptionist who was the only one we saw. Carried up 2 flights of stairs,2 x 22 kgs bags which I thought was fabulous as they are steep stairs. Her manner was superb. The Balavia Room was gorgeous. Balcony lovely. Breakfast at cafe -delicious. Cake and biscuits, lovely touch. Milk and freshly squeezed orange juice beaut. I would recommend this room for a female. Too small and clutter even for honeymoon couple. e.g.. shower. Bed good.
Dust under the furniture, Poor flow of water in the shower. Shutters need repair. A/C needs cleaning for efficiency.Just needs a little T.L.C.
Very welcoming and quaint place with lots of ambience. Especially liked the fresh muffin, biscuits & variety of teas available. Very happy with the stay
Marie Schmidt was a wonderful host and measurably added to our enjoyment of Fremantle.
Nothing.
Staff, room facilities, protected and very pretty location, great breakfast, centre of Fremantle
Nothing I didn't like
service helpfull cleanness helping with bags
shower space for a bigger person walking up 3 flights of stairs but did like the view
The location was great (20m from the cafe strip) and the wine bar was very chilled.
The shutters were a bit broken on the window, the button for the ceiling fan was broken and the air con was a bit noisy.
The location.
No parking. The breakfast was split between eating in your room and going to a local cafe, no mention of this while booking. The kettle and toaster was on the floor. The bathroom was not cleaned one of the days. No mention that there were quite a few stairs to get to room.
Proximity to Fremantle.Privacy.
Uncomfortable bed.My 4yr old daughter received a very 'Bad',burn to her leg,as Hot water, not regulated due to the building being so old.
Location
stairs
The ambience was great as was the location. The breakfast was also terrific.
No face to face contact with any staff member except the cleaner. Bitten by bugs or some kind of insect. Had about 60 or 70 bites. The balcony door was open when I arrived so they may have come in. The room appeared clean as did the sheets etc. Tried to contact owners but only received an recorded message.
Close to the main street in Freemantle. Breakfast excellent at restaurant across the road. Parking not a problem at the end of the street. Very comfortable bed.
Very, very small room. Extremely noisy as there is a licensed facility located at the rear of the property which goes until 2am. Lots of shouting, laughter and screaming. Can't leave door/window open due to mosquitoes. Very steep stairs up to room. No space for 2nd case. Over priced for what it offers
Location Nicely presented, attractive surrounds
Pricey Noisy at night (neighbouring rooms, outside noises).
the room is amazing, the location is very good, only 1min to the market。
the lady is unwelcome, the breakfast is far away!
There was a limited continental breakfast in our room ,but the voucher for a breakfast of our choice in a nearby tearoom ,was worth 10 dollars which would buy a cup of tea and two pieces of toast hardly the expected cooked breakfast that we were looking forward to.
IIncorrectly described. Very small room, no outlook on to courtyard and fountain as per description. No breakfast room - given small value vouchers to use at local restaurant. Basically did not take to the place but not a total disaster
