Exactly what we needed, to stay overnight in transit between states with air fares. Close enough 2 airport & expect to pay aprox $30-$35 for a taxi. If wanting access to Melbourne city it would be a fair distance. We didn't need to so it was fine. -

Location is the winning factor, hostel is in the heart of Mel CBD. Just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. All the staff is friendly & helpfull, allowed me to check in early. I enjoyed the free pancakes on sunday morning when i arrived - TQVM ALL

Great location although currently there is construction going on across the road. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean. It's very close to the city centre and the important tourist attractions. The bed was very comfortable and the flat screen tv was great. It was really worth the money and I think it will make a great place to stay if you will mostly be outside visiting Melbourne and just need to have a good shower and sleep!
