We were just several blocks from downtown, on the city bus route. City bus fares are excellent in San Antonio for seniors. It was also just 4 blocks from the Amtack station. The neighborhood is on a fringe area but we (2 men) felt safe. Motel had been recently remodeled. Compared to the $200/night hotels a mile away, this hotel is great value with free parking. The location is a bit remote but the desk arranges taxis that are only $5. to downtown. Very helpful and friendly staff. Bright, clean rooms with every comfort.

Flat screen tvs. And the restrooms are very nice as well. Great hotel for the price. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We were there for 5 nights for the San Antonio Stock Show at the AT&T Center. The hotel is only about 2 miles away. We liked that it was within walking distance of the Riverwalk. The bed, which was a kingsized bed for both rooms were very comfortable. The room looked beautiful and it was roomy. I really liked the cleanliness and the overall design of the rooms. Very good quality for the price. And very close to most of the attractions in San Antonio. We loved that the motel was straight down Commerce St. Just blocks from all the Riverwalk action. The rooms were comfortable and well sized with a great bathroom and separate wash area. Clean and quite. Great size room with frig and microwave. great breakfast. Loved the room. Everything. Location to river walk and alamo dome and tower of america great location! Staff let me use computer to resolve a problem thank you so very much!. The rooms were very nice, loved the decor and the bed was extra comfy. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Furniture in the room was nice. The room looks like new. The only thing I didnt like was that the hotel was border line from beautiful city location and across some old business which made the view of the hotel well jusy not that great. Basically only the view. But yet still in the city. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy. But, from what we could tell, most of the area around the AT&T Center is. The people running the hotel aren't very friendly. For some reason the cleaning person didn't re-stock well. No toilet paper, cups, soap, and she would only leave 1 or 2 clean towls (there were 4 of us). It wasn't a huge issue since we would just go to the desk to ask for more. We needed more blankets and were thankful that we had brought a couple along ourselves. The front counter personel were not always available. The breakfast was not what we expected. It was rather lousy. The location of the hotel was not favorable. The surrounding area was very run down. The staff weren't particularly friendly, and the location is borderline for walking, but perfect if you have a car. beds were too high. That I could not stay longer ;). Wish it had more variety of breakfast. My wife was sleeping in the room mid afternoon on saturday july 20th, 2013 and the staff gave other people our room with room key and the person walked in on my wife, very scary and not very responciple of staff for the mix up! Very bad ants! Need to spray or spray more!. When I arrived, I rang the bell and after 15 minutes and ringing the bell several times, I had to call the hotel and let someone know I was at the front desk in order to check in. The rooms were beautiful however the towels in our room were dirty and the area sheets had stains on them. I also did not like the surrounding area, it looked like a place I would want to stay away from. Not the nicest neighborhood..kind of in a rough looking part of town. They only put one bath towel in the room. Abandon buildings around hotel looked a little getto. We found some cockroaches behind the tv,the next day my wife and me were bitten by fleas. It never specified it was a motel, and it charges as a hotel. It said breakfast included and there was only coffee and some cupcakes. Would not stay there again. Was suppose to be 59.99 a night I was charged 59.99 for Mon, Tues, and 84.99 weds 59.99 thurs. My reservation was double rooms with 2 bed rooms .I thought will be 2 rooms with 2 beds. When we got there they told us it is just one room with 2 beds. breakfast was so poor, not even breakfast. I will never do it again.
