  The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Just what you can expect from a new, renovated hotel. The room was somewhat on the small side (1 king bed, room with two queens is larger but also more expensive) but I guess that is common in NY where space is limited and hotel prices are high. The room was extremely clean and up-to-date. Our beds were comfortable. It definitely fit our needs for NYC. It was very close to everything - walking distance to 5th Avenue, Broadway, Times Square - but we were not in the midst of the crowds, noise and chaos.   I travelled with my friend. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and also problem solving oriented. We arrived at 5h30 am and were supposed to check in at 3PM. Mr Matthew at the reception took initiative to fix a ready room and before 9am we were able to enjoy our room! We were upgraded upon arrival. The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are huge compared to most rooms in Manhattan and the decor is funky yet comfortable. The location is fabulous. 3 minutes to Grand Central Station and about 10 minutes to Macys. I love this hotel so much that I'm going back in 3 weeks to stay for a week!!!
