I liked Spencer, the guy at the front desk. He was always helpful and
polite. And also one of the guys that cleaned, I think is his brother,
because they looked similar. The place is definitely what you pay for,
which is cheap, and that's the point.

For the money we paid it was really good. New york hotels are expensive! For this price u cant expect that much. It was just a simple room with a bed, a sink and a tv but thats all you need for a couple of days. We stayed there for just one night. The staff was friendly so all in all it was a nice stay there. actually just a very small space of floor which is taken mostly of the
bed and just a small cupboard, and the room is separated from the others
just by a tiny wall. So you feel like sleeping in a large space of beds,

This place can only be as good as the people who stay there - the walls
between rooms in the sleeping area don't reach the ceiling and every
sneeze is audiable to everyone (you can't hear check-in counter or
lobby area, as they are in a different room). During my stay, the hotel
was fully booked and the guests were backpackers from Canada, us and
Europe. All guests were very quiet and considerate of others. I usually
don't sleep well in hotels, but I had the greatest night sleep after

I really liked everything. It is such a cosy place to stay. Everything what a person may be in need of in one's travel is available. Wifi, beverages, all facilities work excellently. Location is wonderful, too.
I think that without the stuff such high standards would not have been achieved.

Very close to subway. Excellent location. Bars and Pubs with restaurants of all kinds just at walking distance.Good Showers and clean restrooms. Very helpful and friendly service. Free WIFI. Ideal for backpackers.

Friendly guys at reception, possibility to leave suitcase there after check-out (for $4), there was even breakfast included in the price (very very basic though, but all I need in the morning is a coffee to get me going :-), easy to meet fellow travellers (the people staying there were all really communicative and friendly and interesting to talk to) in the lounge, which is the only place to get free wifi on your mobile or laptop in the hostel
