Booking was simple on-line. Check-in was quick. Even though the establishment is old it is not run down. Room was very clean. The shower was especially nice, with the ability to change your jets to numerous settings. A/C worked great. Would stay again!. Staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was better than average. Beds were clean and comfortable and I appreciated the free wi-fi.

The room was well decorated, up to date and it accomodated my technological needs. The continental breakfast included in the room rate was excellent no doubt & staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable, nice and quiet, front desk very helpful, price was very nice. I loved that it was 10 minutes from the downtown Austin scene! Great shopping and food close by!. It was easy to make the reservation, easy to find, the room was quiet and comfortable. Everything from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out you helped alot. Hotel was nice & good price-a little dated as far as interior but was clean. Friendly Staff and very good breakfast with Waffles, Sausage and Eggs and More. Friendly staff. Breakfast and snacks good. Bed was comfortable. Location and accessibility and general cleanliness. The breakfast was included in the room rent and was very well catered for. Very cheap for a person that is trying to find a place to just lay there head.They had the best continental breakfast I've eaten In a long time. Overall it was not bad. Bus line was not that far of a walk. The outside looked dirty with people hanging at the side entrance which had me worried that something was up. The room was nice and clean. We asked for a one bed room and still got a two bed room. I was moved to a room with a fridge when asked for at check-in. The room was pleasant & the bed comfortable. We were there during graduation weekend, so I realize prices were higher all over town, but I would not return to this hotel at that price. There was a faint mildew smell in our room. The internet connection was very low and I could not stay connected. overall cleanness could be better. The only thing that didn't go we'll was two mornings in a row the hot water was not available for shower. Had to get maintenance to look at it, but they were very prompt in fixing the problem. Overall, had a wonderful stay:). I had to work really late and returned to the hotel at about 4am. I was a bit uncomfortable going from my car to my room after seeing some folks that looked bored and curious as to my actions. However, walking through any parking lot in Austin at 4am would make me feel uncomfortable, so that's not something I'd blame on the hotel. I wanted a room on the top or middle floor but I understand how busy it was but that was it. My fiancé just prefers the top or middle. some guests block the exterior doors open so they don,t needs keys to reenter. Old carpet in room;torn and frayed going into the bathroom. Bathroom seemed outdated. No popcorn machine. Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing renovations so visually it was not particularly attractive although it did not impact our stay. Every day there were big piles of towels in the hallways overnight...again no impact, just unattractive. Hot tub was not very hot. Extend breakfast til 10am, not 9. Separate sinks from shower area. Noisey! I was on first floor. Heard people walking and shutting doors well into the morning hours. The included breakfast was not great. WFi was poor loss signal. It would come and go. I could not work from this hotel due to lack of constant WFi signal. Musky smell. Liked everything no bad comments. chewing tobacco on wall and floor. Not a well known hotel. The carpet in the room have a strong cleaner kind of smell. Wasnt a fan of that but otherwise our non-smoking room was comfortable and clean otherwise. When I came back to the hotel, there was a dead crockroch near my bag; That was absolutely disgusting. Overall it was not bad. If you can afford better then please find another hotel but if you just need a place to sleep with little money then come on and check for prices. There was an unpleasant odour in the air in the hall. The breakfast had far too much sugar in all the options whether it was cereal or waffles. Noise, dirt in the hallway, people smoking in front of the entry doors, lack of parking, large pickup backed up blocking the entrance,. The carpet was nasty. They charged us twice for one night and has not been resolved. Quick to take money out of our account but slow putting it back in our account. Design to reach ur room. Old and gross. The location. Wrong choice for us, as had no transport, spent hundreds dollars on taxi fares as to far out of city, and no one in hotel knew about bus services, local post offices etc. Room utilities not operating (lamp, satellite tv) working at check in. Some of the furniture had stains. The hallways were consistently dirty from guests spilling liquids, trash and human waste (vomit) on the floors throughout the weekend. The carpets in the hallways smelled so badly of old cigarette smoke I had to plug my nose. It was unbearable. The people hanging around the doors and in the parking lot. I did not feel safe while I was in the parking lot. I saw shattered glass in the parking lot and couldn't sleep because I thought my car was going to get stolen or broken into. Didn't gt da room I requested da put me in a room wit a full bed very uncomfortable bed for 2 grown ppl!! Wat ever ppl gt online for a room it shld b dat!!! My stay der was very awful. Poor facilities. In the ghetto an want 5 star prices shhiiid. there ils no jacusie. I had booked the Orangewood Suites and it went to the Orangewood Inn and Suites -wasn't happy with the location and all the pictures of the rooms showed suites not just a hotel room. Too much noise in the halls, too crowded in the breakfast room. I stayed one night without paying the pet fee. No going back. Too many people standing around with nothing to do except talk loud. No fridge or microwave in room. I didn't like that they lost my reservation and did very little to help me find a new one (since most hotels were all sold out due to sxsw Film & Music Fest)...Awful situation. The room also smelt was very outdated. The TV and the lamps did not work. It didn't look or smelled clean. The outside looked run down. I wouldn't stay there again. The elevator smelled like urine. The hotel was in very poor condition and very dirty. Doors were broken, hallways had several holes in the wall. Was very unsafe, there was drugs and prostitution going on. Our room smelled horrible of ciggerettes.
