We stayed at this hotel as a young couple, and with a plan to propose to my other half whilst there in York, I had called up the hotel prior to our visit to see if there was anything they could do to help me make it a special occasion, and was greeted and helped by dean who spoke to the head of house keeping who agreed to help. So when we arrived to our room we were very presently surprised to see a clean, modern and stylish room, with rose petals on the bed and by the sink, along with chocolat.

At the bar the service was excellent and the breakfast (a buffet) had something for everyone's taste. The hotel was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road, a nightclub across from it, but it didn't bother my nights sleep in the least. The shower was lovely (a walk in shower) and very roomy. Locat. I have travelled to more than 30 countries and recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. It is brand new, and fewer than five minutes' walk from the principal bus interchange, railway station and city centre. The breakfast is included in the price and is wholly acceptable. Staff were enormously helpful (child bed, bottle-warmer, ...) There are two free Internet PCs available in the business suite. You can order food in the evening for less than GBP 8 per person to eat in the hotel bar or in your . Loved this hotel! After several days staying in budget hotels in the uk, we really appreciated the American comforts of the Hampton. Double paned windows made the room super quiet. Being able to turn on the fan for white noise was fantastic & having ac for cool comfort was amazing. Beds were really quite comfortable & the amount of space in our room was fantastic. I hate to sound like an American tourist, but it was really nice to stay in a place that felt like what we are used to in th. Absoloutly loved this hotel! Stayed for two nights for my boyfriends birthday .. Hotel in a great location near the station and very easy to find . V modern hotel , rooms cleans And beautiful ! The shower is massive . Would deffinetly return . Staff are very helpful , helped us decide where to go for a meal on a night to suit us . Breakfast in a morning was gorgeous and loved the style of the buffet breakfast was everything from bacon , sausages , crumpets , crosients , fruit , cereal and yogs . Really friendly staff. Room was very modern with all the facilities we needed. The bathroom and walk in shower were designed impeccably. The double sofa was a nice touch in the room as were the toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was a fantastic selection of hot and cold food and really set us up for the morning out shopping in York which is literally a few minutes walk away from the hotel. All in all a fantastic place to stay and we'll be staying again very soon. We found the staff friendly and helpful and were a credit to the hotel chain. The hotel is family friendly and is in a central position, very clean and has good sized rooms It was great to be able to go back to the room and have tea or coffee after a day in town. Location good, near railway station and short walk to the centre of York. We read other reviews which talked about problems with noise, we did not experience any problems with noise, the hotel was very quiet, even though it was quite full and there was no noise from the nightclub opposite. The hotel was very modern with nice bar and seating area.The bedroom was extremely comfortable and very modern. Loved the bathroom and facilities. Very impressed with the iron and board not something you get very often but very often needed.The bar prices were really reasonable for a tourist city centre hotel. Have Already recommended this hotel to friends.It was the nicest hotel we've stayed in in York and the best price. On arrival we was greeted by two members of staff who were smart and very friendly. Explained everything to us and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless and our twin room was lovely. It's close to everything in York so you do not need public transport. Breakfast was excellent. We were offered vouchers for the Jorvik centre etc which saved us more money. We will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel. I really liked the friendliness of the staff, and how they new quite a lot about the local sites and attractions. They mentioned their names and when they were working which made for a really personal, friendly stay. Also, the range of breakfast things available, for example specific teas like Earl Grey was a really lovely touch. The location of the Hampton was also really useful for getting to places by foot. I brought my hubby here for his 40th birthday everything about the hotel was fantastic very local so close to everything in York the room was clean and very spacious and liked the use to free shampoo and conditioner breakfast was very nice and you got a selection of choice staff very friendly and helpful we even got discount on parking we even got a option to use the gym. We Will definatly be staying here again. the choice at breakfast, and the simple coding grid explaining when queues would form, the staff where very helpfull, the price for two nights stay for a four star hotel is exceptional, the fold on the toilet roll is the iceing on the cake together with the highly polished chrome in the bathroom, tiny things like this make it seem very inviting and you feel like you should visit again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable with good supply and selection of toiletries. Although a relatively modern hotel the room and hotel was very quiet and you were unaware of any other guests. Good to have 32 inch TV instead of the usual much smaller offerings. Within easy walking distance of all York's main attractions. Breakfast selection very good. Staff - very professional. Hotel was spotless and easy to find. Breakfast was gorgeous. Design of the hotel is very modern compared to hotels that we normally like e.g. 17th/18th century. Definitely stay here again - bar area really nice in the evening. We arrived after 10pm to the hotel and couldn't find the public parking open (it closes at 10pm ....but we did not know). Then one staff arranged that I can park the car in amother hotel 's parking place. The only thing is that he did that thinking that I was alone....was helping a lady in distress...anyway, that wss very good. It was an excellent place to stay. The breakfast was exceptionally good and catered for veggies, soya instead of milk, etc. The hotel was within walking distance of the York centre, but far enough out to be quiet. The bed was clean and comfy, the staff were pleasant and efficient, the hotel was spotless and very modern. It was close to all the amenties, and although we heard a few people shouting when they left the club across the road, it wasn't enough to whinge about. We only had toast and coffee in the morning so I can't comment on the hot food, but it looked fine. Good location, handy for the railway station and the centre of York. Everything from walking into reception, a man came outside to show us where to park & where not to !!. The room was spotless & very well presented. We go to York quite often & this hotel will definitely be booked again unless of course they go down the same route as Prem Inns hiking up their prices up to an unrealistic level !. everything was done to please us we had a slight problem with our blinds the duty manager was very good she changed our room without hesitation and offered assistance with our luggage should have taken her name i have no hesitation in returning to this hotel thanks to all the staff best hotel by far breakfast great room great clean warm. The Staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble,we were given a room to freshen up before we went off to the races as are actual rooms weren't available yet as it was only 11.30. After the races the helpful gentleman on reception called and booked a delicious Indian restaurant for us and it was amazing and only round the corner. On arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and clean. Large flat screen tv. Ensuite clean, polished with a large shower. Breakfast selection everything you could ask for with helpful friendly staff. Close to railway station and mins from town centre but still quite. Would definitely recommend. The hotel is impeccably clean and modern from reception to corridors to rooms. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and professional (including during a late night fire alarm evacuation caused by water in the electrics so can include excellent safety systems) Breakfast abundant and fresh. We stayed on the ground floor at the back of the hotel,after reading some of the reviews about the nightclub noise at the front we were very pleased with our room very quiet,modern and clean lovely air conditioning in the hot weather. The breakfasts were also good with something for everyone.Would recommend this hotel to anyone. We liked the location becuase it was near to the station and the town. The female staff on reception at check in and check out were excellent and very helpful, we didn't feel rushed even though there were other people waiting. The twin beds were very comfortable and the air- conditioning/heating was actually adjustable. The rooms were spotless. We had a sofa bed that needed making up and within five minutes of asking at reception it was done. The snack menu is extensive and value for money. Breakfast was easy and hassle free. We will definitely stay here again. Rooms where fantastic, staff very helpful and friendly. 24 hour bar, and a small tuck shop that sold chocolate,crisps etc. real fast was good but very busy. Hotel was full although they where no disturbances. Shopping was within walking distance and very close by to train station, bus station, and plenty of taxi'S. Found the staff most accommodating and professional. Realise it is a relatively new hotel and the decor reflected this. We were allowed to check in early and leave our bag at the hotel when we checked out so we didn't have to carry our suitcases around York. Very helpful!. We found the hotel & all the staff excellent in everything. The hotel is central to all areas of York and easy access fro less able travellers. The staff couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable. Friends who had never been to York before are planning to return & use the Hotel as a base. Check in staff were fabulous, room was big enough (at a squeeze) for a family of 4 for one night and you are 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of York. And it is value for money. A buffet breakfast was included so great value. Staff were very attentive and continually asking if we needed anything. I stayed with 2 friends in a triple room and it was really very comfortable. The hotel was quiet with no rowdy guests. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was really good and well presented and served. The design was modern, clean and new. It's the sort of place you could easily take family to. The hotel is nearly new and very smart. The handy parking just a few yards down the road worked out at £10 for twenty four hours as the hotel is offering a discount, which we thought was good value. When we checked out we left our stuff in the parked car and spent the rest of the day out and about. All the staff from reception to housekeeping were very helpful, friendly and polite at all times. The Hotel was very clean and the décor was pleasing to the eyes. The breakfasts were very nice and there was something for all tastes. We will definitely return to this Hotel when staying at York. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good and was served up by very friendly staff who could not do enough to help. We had a great stay in York and as we traveled by train the hotel was very close to the station. The rooms were well appointed and the bed very comfortable. Also the bathroom facilities were very good. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the staff extremely efficient. Free wifi and also breakfast. Parking was available at a discounted price. The bar was open 24 hours, so when I awoke with jet lag at 3 am I was able to go and buy a soft drink, that was a bonus. Fantastic central location, near everything you want or need. Everything in walking distance, shops, restaurants, pubs, attractions. Even though it was a central location it was very peaceful. Everything else was fabulous from start to finish!. Air conditioning in room 329 not working - it was reported but, unfortunately, not fixed. Would have preferred not to have to pay for parking (£10 per day in nearby ncp car park. Although the breakfast was adequate would have enjoyed fried eggs. Was not happy that there was nowhere to place tray whilst trying to juggle with making toast dispensing coffee and dishing food onto plates. The food area was a bit hazardous as people were cutting each other up all over the place. I wouldn't like to see an elderly person trying to get their breakfast as I think they would really struggle. Nothing to dislike. Nothing everything was perfect. heating was'nt exceptional on a very cold staycation, felt like a very poor hairdryer, even on highest setting!. Originally when booking, specifically requested a quiet room away from the front of the hotel where there is a nightclub and there would be a good probability of increased noise levels in the early hours. Having checked in, we were given the exact room in front of the nightclub!! However, the matter was very quickly rectified - compliments to the staff and management for sorting. Replacement room was perfect - thank you!!!. That the hotel does not have parking space. It was too hot at night with no opening window and air conditioning that wouldn't go below 19. Nothing to dislike, great value for money, and very convenient for the train station. This is a very minor point-there is limited clothes hanging space especially if staying more than a couple of nights. Peak time at breakfast was pretty hectic & a lot of food tureens were empty when I went but Im not too bothered as I went up when it had quietened down & the tureens were full again. nothing and that goes a long way. Found nothing at all to dislike. The breakfast was very varied and catered for every taste, but it could have been a bit hotter. Nothing, it was a great hotel. The breakfast area was probably the main thing that needed re considering. Although the food was good. It was hectic, and a lot of queuing and the odd table still cluttered, maybe more staff would resolve this. Would be unfair to state we found anything we didn't like. Will definitely return here for a stay... The hotel is directly opposite the Tokyo club which I think would put some people off. I thought it was going to be really loud in our room but we didn't hear the noise at all. no complaints. Watch out for parking inspectors outside the hotel while unloading the car! We didn't get caught as staff from the hotel warned us in time to make other arrangements. The shower was a bit pathetic!. Nothing. Nothing !. the pull out bed made it a tight fit in the room. There was an overnight sound of water flowing into a cistern. Nothing. Had a think , no it was all great. Not really a complaint, but it wasn't very clear exactly Where we were supposed to park, so we did have to go in and ask. Better choices of coffee/teas in rooms. Only the usual issue with hotels regarding choosing a good time to come down to breakfast. I had an early start both days so it was OK for me but seemed to be pretty busy when I was leaving for my meetings. Thought it a little pricey compared to other York hotels I've stayed in (although I have booked to come back in December) and value would improve if the cost included, say, a basic buffet dinner to offset this. There was nothing I disliked about this hotel. Nothing!!!.
