This is a quaint hotel. Best accessible via car. However, easy accessvia bus. Should indicate bus route from downtown. Place is veryclean,beds are very comfortable. Good value for the money. Location ifnear downtown, there is a cute pub across from the hotel.If at all,buses run frequently which is more accessible via bus than by car.Highlyrecommended should anyone stay in York. The quality of the hotel was excellent, it felt friendly and personal yet still high in standards. The rooms were comfortable and exactly what we needed for our short trip. Great location for getting to York, the park and ride is only two minutes drive away.
kaikki arvostelut » The staff were excellent, very willing to help, much appreciated as my wife has a small walking disability. also I accidentally left my suit behind and was able to recover it easily. In all a most enjoyable stay. I thought the hotel was a lovely building, the staff very helpful and friendly and would love to stay in the summer to appreciate the beautiful gardens.Staff were friendly and helpfull. Close to the centre of York. Food was excellent aswell as the service. Room was big,lovely and clean. The staff were very good, from reception through to check out. It's a very nice hotel with a homely feel. We would stay there again.The location is excellent and the hotel itself was fantastic also thefood was really good. Although 2 miles out of town the buses were excellent and the local pub was good too.Allowing very prompt early check-in by being flexible withallocated room. Excellent hotel all round. Food good. Room was very spacious.It was clean and tidy, the staff were helpfull and friendly. Staff were very helpfull,especially chris the barman. food was good value and well presented. Room was warm and clean. Frendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Service at brekfast was good and quality of food was excellant. We could hear people in the other rooms, and a man snoring during the night.four poster bed and excellent cuisine. breakfast cold. limited parking - no area reserved for residents. We where in front bedroom and the front door banged a lot as people went in and out, only noticed it late night and early morning.Breakfast staff were not good at clearing away empty plates, we had to move used plates onto clean tables. the room was quite small. I was taken aback when I found we had to cross a busy main road to the allocated room-sometimes in inclement weather.The room was however well appointed and comfortable. The only negative I have about my stay was that the temperature haddropped considerably outside and the heating went off at about 11pm anddid not come on again until the morning so I had to wear socks and ajumper on top of my pyjamas in bed. I do think when the temperature islow the heating should be kept on.Parking was a bit inadequate when functions were happening. We had to park in the street due to visitors taking up the spaces, so a section for hotel guests only would have been beneficial. Perhaps if it were stated that some rooms would be above function rooms as we were directly above one, but to be honest, we weren't bothered by it at all. We had a very memorable trip and the hotel is beautiful. Car park is a bit of a mess!.
