  Perfect place to stay, the owners were delightful, every attention to detail, rooms really lovely and well looked after, breakfast all that you could wish for.   The staff were lovely and very accommodating The location - I have never been anywhere with so many pretty cottages, halls & countryside walks in such quick succession - utterly surprised (& I'm from the home counties with family in deepest Dorset & Devon) The food at The Cricketers is delicious - I hadn't looked up the menu before bo... mitä ihmiset sanovat » oking & so had considered dining out but on looking at the menu, I was convinced to stay put. They provide creative and traditional meals, present - Our room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The bed & bedding were superb. We really enjoyed our evening meal, which is several cuts above 'pub grub'. The breakfast was especially good, with a wide range of choices, like the delicious Eggs Florentine I had. The service was very efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The settin is a perfect example of an English village with a village green, & was very peaceful.

  The staff were brilliant with their attention to detail. The menu allowed for gluten free and even had gluten free bread rolls which we were not expecting. The decor was a perfect mix of Farrow & Ball meets current day. Our room was to die for.. four poster bed with a rolltop bath in the room. There was a problem with the original room that we booked and they called us in advance to warn us that plumbing works might not be fini - Staff were very pleasant and made us feel special for my husbands birthday celebration, the rooms were amazing and loved the bath in the room. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.
