The Little Northern Hotel at the Millstone - Valokuvat
Mitä ihmiset sanovat
The room 202 was tidy, confy beds, tv and kettle included. Room was
bit small but ok for our trip (concert in men Arena) and for the
budget. However I would not recommend hotel for families with kids or
for older people - no elevator. The English breakfast was great - big
and tasty. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Staff waited for us for
late check in as promised and gave another room in second floor to
keep us from the pub noise by themselves. However we didn't have
any issues with noise from. kaikki arvostelut »
Comfy spacious single room with Ensuite bathroom, it was adequate for a single room with sink, toilet and shower cubicle.
Tv available, fridge available, coffee and tea making facilities. Friendly staff, good pub atmosphere and good food in the pub below, i enjoyed full english breakfast, food served from 8am till 4pm.
Private card key out of hours access, via rear of pub/hotel to your room when pub shut.
Gay friendly, i am gay and stayed by myself for 1 night and had no issues while stayin.
Everything' was cool!!! Staff was very kind with me.Room was new, clean, nice.safe street with a lot of people/young people. You'll be in the city center. 2 mins walk from the main shopping street. Around vinyl shops, and all you need. You'll get in the Hotel from the Millstone Pub main entrace, famous and very nice, safe pub in Manchester: good place to take a beer!! Thanks guys for your assistance!!.
We paid £45 for a double room. For that price we didn't have high hopes for a comfortable stay, but we were only there for one night so it didn't really matter. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were met by very friendly staff and a room that had everything we needed. We both said, if we are ever in Manchester for a night, we would stay there again.
This is a bog basic place to stay. Was ideal for me and my friend as we went to Manchester to do some shopping and have a night out. The room was very small with a small shower. It was great value for money and did who's just fine. It was a 2 minute walk from the print works which was ideal. We would stay here again as it was perfect for us.
The location was excellent-right in the centre, 5 min from the main square, 5 min from northern bus stop (Megabus), 15 min from eastern bus stop (National express). Although above the pub did not mind it (made me feel safe). Clean room with small bathroom, tv, tea&coffee, free wifi, warm bed, helpfull staff.
Really nice hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size and had all the facilities needed. Myself and all my friends who stayed thought the hotel was great value for money. Great hotel to stay at if you are on a night out in Manchester as it is near to plenty of bars.
The breakfast we had was lovely well worth a fiver. The location for us was great because it was just a short walk to the main town and MEN arena. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was good value for money. The room was nice and had a big window so it was easy for us to keep cool.
Location was fantastic for both arriving at Piccadilli station and for attending our event at the phones 4u arena. If staying longer it is also ideal for shopping, eating and nightlife. Also within easy reach of other city attractions. All in all will use again.
The location of this hotel couldn't be better, right in the centre of the city, close to all attractions/shopping/transport systems etc. Relatively cheap. This is a very basic hotel, but recommended if you are looking for value for money accommodation.
The millstone pub is a quaint little pub with live music and a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the beer is reasonably priced and the breakfast in the morning is good value. The beds were comfy the rooms were cosy and the staff were great.
Cheap price, very lively, rooms are inside a pub and in a busy area of nightlife and shopping, walking distance from Manchester Victoria, nice of them for putting a bottle of wine in our room for the special occasion. Friendly staff.
Staff are very friendly. The place, although it may look a bit dodgy at first sight as it's located above a pub, it's very cosy and comfortable. It's definitely great value for money. Beds were very good and everything was clean.
Friendly welcome on arrival, room was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, good shower facilities, towels provided. 2nd floor is better as slightly quieter than 1st floor. Also had in-room bathroom, which we had to request.
Excellent location in heart of Northern Quarter.
Family welcoming helpful staff + landlord.
It's a local pub with decent en-suite facilities, loved the atmosphere, good beer selection etc.
I'd definitely stay again.
Friendly welcoming staff and atmosphere of pub, good value for money Rooms were clean and to a good standard, and nice and quiet on second floor. Great location to city centre. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is a 5min walk from all local shops and attractions. The room was basic but comfortable especially the bed. Excellent value for money. Would use this hotel again if going to Manchester again :).
-The pub below had really friendly patrons although the staff didn't want to serve me at the beginning.
-Great location.
-Made for an interesting local-feeling stay in Manchester.
like that the staff the very nice. the ppl the drink in here are nice. like that the staff are up first thing so you can get food. and being on top of the pub is always a good thing.
The staff were friendly, polite and endlessly helpful. The breakfasts were enormous and very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and inviting.
We will definitely be returning.
Location very good. For a Saturday night in Manchester it was a very reasonable price. For a group of friends after basic accommodation for a night out it is fine.
What's not to like
STAFF - Friendly & helpful
FOOD - Very nice
ROOM - Had everything you could want
HOTEL - Great felt like home with a relaxing astmosphere.
staff and owner were very helpful and friendly.its just 5 to 10 min walk away from city centre, the tram station and the train station.rooms were tidy and clean.
Comfortable en suite rooms.
Friendly staff
excellent cooked breakfast
24 hour private access at rear of hotel.
Great location for Piccadilly and Gay village.
The owner was very friendly and nice and waited for use though we arrived almost at midnight. She even gave us a bit of supper and the accommodation was great.
Staff are very friendly, anything I asked for wasn't a problem to them. Great atmosphere in the bar in the evening/night. Definitely staying there again.
Real handy for getting around town to act the maggot and really comfortable when you get back to act the maggot some more. Great spot. Hopefully be back.
excellent the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant staff was first class if I am ever back in Manchester again I will definitely stay here again.
Everything in there for a decent price, located near picadilly gardens
and great pub underneath. Me and some friends really enjoyed our stay!.
It was central to bars, restaurants & shops etc.
Not the place to stay if you want quiet & relaxing as the pub below was quite noisy.
Location. Friendly atmosphere. Helpful. We had a problem entering the
premises on returning for the night. Staff were very helpful.
Very cheap and location is brilliant for going to Old Trafford, and also for shopping . Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Super breakfast and very friendly staff with a great location within walking distance to many bars and restaurants.
nice room above a loud but charming pub. a friendly, down-to-earth place, clean room and bathroom very comfy bed!.
It was comfortable, clean, cheap, central and no frills which was exactly what we anticipated - it did the job!.
Mira the manager is absolutely delightful and takes a real personal interest. Nice beer in the pub downstairs.
Very clean, comfy bed, all staff were friendly, good location and price, really nice Full English Breakfast !!.
Friendly staff had problems with shower but as soon as i reported it someone came and got it working for me.
Friendly people ,good food and entertainment and very cheap
This makes booking expensive hotels a no go .
staff was excellent room was very warmly and clean. very lively pub close city an men would stay again.
The staff were very friendly the room was very clean the location was very close to all amenities.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good location. Good atmosphere in the pub and extremely busy.
Boiling the kettle on the bed. Cheap clean and simple no frills accomodation. Shower was good.
The location (in the Northern Quarter of Manchester) and the room, which was tidy and clean.
The room was comfortable the staff were very helpful and friendly the location was perfect.
Great location. . great beer. .Freindly staff. . nice breakfast. .
fantastic price. .
the second time we have stopped at the hotel and everybody is so pleasant and nice.
Lovely warm welcome by all staff. Room was lovely & clean. Very comfortable.
Very friendly staff, location was fantastic and at £50 a night can't go wrong.
All the The staff were very friendly and I really had a good time over there.
The power outlets in room 202 were not good placed - just above one bed
- there could be another ones near table.
The shower got stuck once (water heating unit) - but staff promptly helped to fix it (just turn it off and on again if both LEDs are glowing red).
I don't like English water taps style (separate hot and cold tap so you can't mix the water).
Bathroom mirror abit low down had to bend down to shave-minor issue.
Small room but we expected it.
We were on the top floor and the stairs were a but of a pain in high heels! Especially when you have had a drink, also the blinds were tricky for me and my friend to work, we couldn't close them properly.
That you couldnt check in earlier then 2pm though rooms where ready.
We booked a room with an in-room bathroom, however we were given a room with a bathroom which was not in our room. Even thoughthe bathroom was 'private', in that it was only for our room, it was not what we wanted. Having said that, the way this was handled was very well as we were given a free breakfast to compensate for the first night, and after that our room was changed.
not very luxurious and small rooms.
It may get a little noisy on Fridays and Saturdays if you plan to go to sleep early.
Some rooms don't have bathrooms so be aware of this and request when you book. Pub can be noisy at times, so 2nd floor is better if you want a bit of peace.
No food facilities, I like breakfast early in the morning before leaving.
Quite hard to get hold of the lady dealing with the rooms. Would have been useful to have a fridge in the room.
no bad things to say.
No negatives at all.
Bathroom very steamy. No wardrobe. Too small to spend more than one night there.
Some external noise can be heard in some rooms depending on which room you stay in, yet I knew it was going to be noisy. It did not spoil my stay at all it wasn't an issue for me.
Small staircase to carry the luggage through.
nothing.
Rooms were quite small but not complaining as they were fine for what we needed.
Nothing really. Room was a bit small if that bothers you.
Limited (no) wardrobe space.
in my case, nothing, but if you like a quiet place, you should know that it can get a bit loud (but then it was only up to eleven o'clock, so actually no problem).
I would have liked the option of a small light as well as the one main one but apart from that, no problems.
The room was small and above a pub, so it wasn't a quiet evening, though that was fine for a short stay.
Nothing.
The back room where you sign in doesn't give a great impression but really take no notice as the rest is fine.
Sorry no complaints at all.
nothing.
It was noisy but this was not a problem to us.
No ensuite bathroom, had to go across the hall.
Beds were a bit uncomfortable.
The shower, which didn't seem to work very well.
Very loud music till early hours but ide had enough of the well kept,
glorious guinness to sqeeze a few hours kip in :-).
Nothing for me but other travellers might find it a bit basic.
