the staff were fantastic . very helpful and always smiling . we went to the Robbie Williams concert at the Ethiad stadium and the hotel had arranged mini buses to drop off and pick up. what a godsend! dont know how we would have got back withiut the forward thinking. when we did eventually het back at 12.25am the night porter told us to get hot tea out of the machine with fresh milk he told us he was on all night if we needed anything. such a lovely helpful man. next day we had a full English .
kaikki arvostelut » 6 of us stayed at the lodge for the Magic weekend at Etihad stadium. We all feel that the valve for money here was excellent. The staff were some of the very best and polite staff we had come across for a while. They really were helpful. The men of which they were 4 were made up with the quality of food that was served up at the buffet breakfast. Very nicely cooked well stocked all you can eat and drink breakfast included in the price. We will definitely recommend an stay here again. Thank you . I was really impressed with my stay! Being new to the city and just after moving over I was nervous about the hotel and how to navigate the area! But I needn't have worried the staff were so helpful and friendly especially katie! the hotel was clean,very comfortable and close to town! I am now living in Manchester and would highly recommend the diamond lodge to anyone looking for cheap accommodation that is clean, uncomplicated and friendly!. I have stayed many times at the Diamond Lodge and it is always a pleasure. The staff can't do enough to help you and always a lovely welcome at reception. The rooms are always nice and clean and I really like that they have baths as well as showers. Only 10 minutes on the bus from right outside the hotel to the city centre. I love the Diamond and I think it is great value for money. I can't wait till my next stay!. Modern building, very good value for standard of hotel, staff friendly and mostly tried to be helpful. Well organised and run considering the price. Location very convenient if you don't want to travel in and out of city centre, and on good transport routes. Overall liked the place, would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others so long as they understand they're not paying for luxury. Myself and my four sisters stayed in the hotel and we all found it excellent. The reception staff were very helpful and a pleasure to have come in contact with. They did the hotel proud. The rooms were very clean and there were clean towels provided daily. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast. We would definitely stay in this hotel again the next time we travel to Manchester. We had a weekend of shows and appointments. The hotel was ideally placed for the station (bit of a walk but easy to find) and the Appollo O2. Breakfast was served a few minutes earlier for us and was excellent. Staff were fantastic. The triple room really was a triple, big enough for three adults (2 in a double). Very basic hotel but excellent value for the money. As our family have stayed at the diomond lodge more then seven times the last time been the fifteen of febuary2013 as three of our brothers live in three different direction one in Gorton.one in clayton and one in staley bridge so it was easy to all meet there and the staff welcomed them as well would highly recommend the diamond lodge.Angela Byrne. The hotel suited my budget fabulously @ £57 for a family of 3 which inc breakfast we didn't expect 2 much but the hotel was fab, lovely big room, breakfast wad lovely & we was made to feel very welcome. The hotel seemed to be business based I.e reps, workmen but would defo recommend if you are looking for a stop over for a few nights. Location was good, close to where I had to visit, it had a Bar and Restaurant, food was ok not gourmet but good, staff all willing to help and friendly, room was comfortable with free WiFi bed was ok but for a budget Hotel was vfm and well worth it, so much so I will be using it again when I need to go to Manchester University. This is a modern affordable Hotel where you can check in, shut the door and get on with your work. Everything you need is on hand including parking and food so you can get fed, have beer, good safe nights sleep in a comfortable bed and move on. I am sure it is great for anything else, but it did me fine for that and then some. Booked Diamond Lodge to attend concert at the Man City Football ground. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Taxis were put on to attend the concert and return for a very low charge. Had a really good night's sleep - bed was very comfortable and breakfast very good value for money. Definitely book here again!. Location, value for money, staff very helpful and accomodating, very close to the Etihad stadium, and the hotel, and twin room i stayed in was perfect, and clean, everthing worked, so i was very happy with choice, also Breakfast was a delght and id stay there again, strongly recommend this hotel. The staff were all really nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean . We had food at night in the restaurant that was really nice and an excellent price. Conveniently situated for bus stop - Family Day Rover Ticket costing only £8.80. Superb value for money. We was in town for a night at the Dogs, couldn't get a better location for the night(opposite the dog track), this is exactly what is says on the tin. Not quite a Hilton but great value for the money we paid, and great staff who put up with us. will be staying again. The hotel was immaculate so well done to the cleaning staff. Friendly staff, very spacious, a lot nicer and modern than I was expecting. Breakfast buffet was great. Shower and bathroom were nice an clean, tv, kettle and tea were in the room. All round a nice place to stay I have no complaints. close to stadium and city on bus route into city, 10 mins. large secure car park with cctv, price includes all you can eat breakfast, staff very helpful about getting around the city. has own bar open till 12.30 pm,. Never stayed in a hotel before where staff were so helpful and very comfortable atmosphere would certainly use them again. Nothing to dislike. No big dislikes, just minor niggles: orange juice at breakfast was fruit cordial and coffee was from vending-type machine. Catering staff seemed under pressure in the evening, but had a big sports group to deal with. Decor and facilities showing age in places where presumably budget price limits what they can spend on it. Only real gripe: change the ironing board cover in the guest ironing room on the first floor - it's horrible!. Personally, I would not walk to this hotel on my own, particularly at night. Being on a main road can be a bit noisy @ times but not unbearable. Noisy Bar, cutlery wasnt totally clean, room was a little tired ( in need of sprucing up decoratively!) Not many plug sockets in room. Average person now needs: Phone , Laptop, IPad etc charging so minimum of 3 sockets (I take an adapter so not a problem). Having an early morning start and having to make use of an all too accommodating hotel facility so I couldn't find an excuse to sleep in and blame it on breakfast times!. Only thing didn't like was room had a musty smell when we first went in - maybe disused for a while?. Nothing to complain about. Nothing. As our room was facing the road some traffic noise could be heard - but not loud enough to keep us awake. N/A. GPS address could be clearer. Only through the postal code did we manage to find the hotel. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever. nothing. No problems. i booked months in advance and requested ground floor as i am bad on my legs and have difficulty climbing stairs .i was given a first floor room which meant struggling upstairs. i pointed this out at reception but was told all rooms were occupied. if there where no ground floor rooms available at the time of booking i should have been told .i would then not have booked .we had travelled to far to cancel and go home. there was nothing not to like. Nothing. None. Decor a little tired. Area not very appealing consisted of mainly industrial buildings. Very few bars and restaurants. Road noise. The only downside was the constant traffic noise which could still be heard despite the double glazing!. The rooms facing the speedway track ar noisy when the events are taking place and road noise is also noticeable. The buffet breakfast was. cigarette stubs in the bathroom bin and also in the room.dirty glass in the bathroom.dust and dirt around and under the bed.cigarette smoke could be smelt down the corridores.the windows frames and heaters had mould around them in the breakfast area near the main door. Breakfast was cold and very poor. We have no negatives with regards to this hotel. There was a horrible smell in the room of stale cigarette smoke, I thought hotels were non smoking. Personally I would prefer a duvet not sheets. Nothing. No complaints at all!. on our stay it was very noisey in rooms and corridors due to some party but that can be expected in most hotels . id say walls in rooms are very tin plus beds are not the most comfortable unless you ve worn yourself out through the day then you d sleep on anything. couldn't charge things to the room to be paid on check out. The heating makes a burning smell when its on, however it cant be avoided when its not being used all the time. Not a big deal though. Not a thing cant fault it.
