Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. We paid the minimum and got the maximum in comfort with a freely given upgrade. The staff were very welcoming and were pleased that we were pleased. Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through
letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

Location is perfect. They are installing tram lines in the street but it still has access if you are arriving by car or taxi. Its a short walk to Waverly Station and all main tourist attractions can be reached by foot if you like to walk.
Room was excellent, breakfast was great. Did not try the restaurant at night but menu looked good and fairly priced.
Staff were all very friendly and attentive.
A little bit pricey but for a stay during the Festival it was fairly priced compared to other optio

The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful.
