  The Birnam Hotel provided my wife, son and I with comfortable accommodation for a couple of nights while we explored and relaxed in Dunkeld and it's surrounds during the October mid-term school break.   Over a number of years my wife and I have enjoyed excellent bar meals at the Royal Dunkeld Hotel when driving up and down the a9. Having never stayed we thought we would stay for a few nights so that we could enjoy the food and a drink, whlle also soaking up the ambience provided by the friendly owners and staff.   We stayed for 1 night and enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome, a clean comfortable room, a comfortable bed, a great shower and a top notch breakfast. What more could you ask for.
