This must be the comfiest B&B I stayed ever. I don't remember any uk hotel, let alone B&B, having such a diversity and quality of food for breakfast. (Salmon with poached eggs, omelette with choice of filling... Even cranberry juice!) The bathroom with all-new fittings and yes, mixer tap! Free WiFi. The Citi 3 bus stop is a short walk away. The bus ride to the town centre is about 15 minutes and to the rail station about 25 minutes. The owners were very helpful, providing with all the i.
kaikki arvostelut » We liked everything! We booked largely on the basis of reviews we'd read, and our experience bears out the numerous positive comments we'd seen. Very comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean, very good breakfast, owners welcoming and helpful. We didn't need to go into city centre, but the bus service looks good. We tried one of the pubs recommended by the owners (about 25 min walk) and had a very enojoyable dinner. Salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Tastefully decorated and clean. Owner was very helpful and recommended a walking route into the city along the river which we thoroughly enjoyed and also Scudamore's. We enjoyed a very informative river trip in a punt with them. I would definitely stay at Autumn House again and be happy to recommend to others. Sharon & Al make u soooo welcome we couldn't of asked for anything more. We felt like we were old friends when we left. Autum House is very clean altho out of the city it makes a great walk along the canal. We liked being able to walk along the riverside into Cambridge, and the bus service was good. Everything is done to a very high standard at Autumn House. Sharon and Al are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are very good with a wide selection of freshly cooked produce. Al & Sharon are the perfect hosts, very welcoming, great cooks and present a wonderful B&B. Our room was lovely & comfortable & ensuite very clean. The reservation that I got from letsbookhotel.com said that the B&B accepts all major credit cards but did not mention that the card payment incurs a 5% surcharge. Nothing at all to complain about. As a small B&B obviously it doesn't have all the facilities of a large hotel, but it suited our needs perfectly. Overlooking the busy main road. Had to keep window open as it was a very warm night and the traffic noise was a little irritating. Can't say there was anything we didnt like. The walk to town although beautiful, takes 50mins. We chose to do it! There is a bit of road noise from passing traffic, but it didn't bother us. Single room is at front of house and next to front door. I was able to hear everyone come in for the evening until 11:45 pm. Had to use my iPad sound machine to drown out noise of passing cars but this worked fine. Room was too warm even with radiator turned all the way down and didn't open window because of being on ground floor in a single room and traffic noise. There was a lot of noise from the road and the area was a bit 'downmarket'. No complaints at all. No complaints. nothing negative. Nothing. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing. Our room, front right corner 2nd floor (looking at hotel from outside) had fairly constant road noise. Busy road outside. A little bit tight quarters. All good. Nowhere to have an evening drink or any communal area Poor decaf coffee and no fresh juice at breakfast Slightly noisy from road. price & location. Room 1 and 5 a bit noisy because of traffic. Located on a noisy main road; bed a standard double, a bit small.
