  We chose this hotel solely for its proximity to the train station, and found that it exceeded our expectations. Staff was friendly (even brought us a free cup of tea as we sat out in the garden one afternoon), spoke good English, and helped us communicate with our car rental company as we struggled to get the car turned in on time. I was a little concerned because the Lonely Planet guidebook had warned against this neighborhood, but it was totally fine (we walked around) and the hotel was perfect -- modern, minimalist, obviously meant for businesspeople, but very welcoming to my family.   The general manager was extremely helpful and gone out of his way to organize tours for us. His English is excellent. The rest of the staff were also very helpful. The metro station was a stone throw away which was very convenient and the bus station too. There are many eating places around the hotel. Their breakfast was very good. the saving can ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » be huge by taking the Metro train to and from the airport. We took a bus tour to alum skald and it was very convenient. Bus even had WIFI, TV and meal - İbis İzmir has a great location just in front of grand station. I went to İzmir for a concert and I stayed there just one night. Concert hall was in walking distance. İzmir İnternational Airport is easy to reach from hotel ıt takes just half an hour by train. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. Children were free of charge.

  Hotel was great, very clean and comfortable. Great location if you're just going through Izmir like myself. Very close to both train stations. 10 minute walk to the closer one, 40 minute walk from the second on.
