I definitely recommend this hotel! A list of awesome things about it:
- Close to center (20-25 min walk to Sultanahmet or Galata Tower)
- It is not a typical tourist location, you can get a good taste of what the Turkish life is
- right next to the hotel you have vendors with all kinds of fresh fruits
- Everything around the hotel is very cheap, you can eat and drink very good for 8 lira ($4). In Taksim and Sultanahmet it is at least 3 times more expensive. Fruits, turkish delight etc are also . kaikki arvostelut »
Clean rooms. Owner and front desk employee both very friendly and
helpful. When we would sit in the lobby, we would get served tea and
nuts while we browsed the internet. I loved the location as it was not
in a very touristy area but just off a busy street with lots of local
vendors and shops. Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque are about a 20
minute walk and the Spice Bazaar is about a 10-15 minute walk. Beyoglu
district is a short cab ride away (great nightlife). The shared bathroom
is clean. Th.
The owner is really kind, always willing and helpful: he offered us a lot of water bottles to face the heat in Istanbul (and believe me, the weather in July is impossibile!) and he also helped us contacting our car rental agency when we didn't know where to go to collect our car. I highly recommend a stay in Hotel Karslioglu: it's true, rooms are very little and if you have a lot of luggage maybe you won't be able to put all your stuff in the small wardrobe, but the common bathroom is very larg.
Nice little hotel in walking range of the New mosque, Spice Bazaar and Galata bridge. Room are small but very clean and well maintained. The people running the hotel are really friendly and always helpfull. The shared bathroom was always immaculately clean and bottled water free of charge is also available. We even got our sheets changed after 2 days although we were staying for only 4 days. This bed and breakfast is a really god value for money offer. The neighbourhood is a bit run down, but o.
Heidi (man Friday) who manages the hotel was indeed a pleasant chap and
very helpful for all our needs during our stay. Besides, Heidi and
Arsalan (owner) are true reflection of Turkish hospitality at its core,
for the discerning tourists. The budget hotel is located in a local area
inhabited by turks which is very safe and close to the many tourist
attractions besides, the housekeeping ensures the rooms are cleaned
daily as well as bed linen / towels / hand towels replaced.
Breakfast though ba.
We stayed at Karslioglu for nine days and had zero problems. The staff is FANTASTIC. They don't speak English very well but they certainly do try and always offer bottled water, tea, and/or coffee whenever you want. They carried in our luggage when we arrived and carried it out when we left. They were so friendly and even bought us orange juice from a street vender. The hotel is super clean. The location is great and is in walking distance to everywhere but it's not in a very touristy zone so y.
Very kind & friendly staff, he is helpful & try his best to help
us even his english is not really well. The room is clean & confort
& would provide the distilled water to drink-very nice! It would be
better if can provide a place (pantry) to cook., &Amp; need to carry the
laggages upstails... Hotel is far away from the metro, need to take 20
mins walk, but turkey guys are very nice to show us how to get to ^^
員工友善, 地方清潔乾淨, 但位置遠了一點, 由鐵路行去, 要大約20分鐘. 沒有煮食地方,但有免費蒸餾水供應,
沒有電梯..但總.
Overall i like this hotel. Friendly staff and i had a chance to meet the owner, Mr Arslan which is very generous. They cant speak fluent English but they are very helpful too. This hotel is good for backpackers and value for money, which you can spend your money for souvenirs and foods. Breakfast is light and simple. Many Small shop near hotel and you easily find local fruits, fresh fruit juice and kebab.
Great pleasant staff, good location. (you don't need to climb on Istanbul hills to get to the hotel or to nearest tram station). It is situated on the edge of the cheapest part of grand-bazar extention, so you can go out and by everything you want at very affordable prices. The streets around are busy till night, so no stress even if you come back after 11 p.m.
The owner had little English but still managed to be very welcoming and hospitable. Free tea and mineral water offered frequently, very clean rooms and communal areas, basic toiletries provided in the bathrooms and hairdryers and even ironing facilities available. For a budget hotel this was excellent value and very comfortable.
location was just perfect. hotel is very close to city attractions and i could feel local atmosphere on the way to city attractions from hotel. Hotel is very very basic - but exceptionally clean and provide good wifi. Hotel owner and staff were very friendly and great! I will definitely stay again if i visit Istanbul.
very very friendly and co-operative staff; few minutes walking from the old city center; very cheap with acceptable comfort and tidiness - i would say excellent price/quality ratio; people and shops in the street late at night - which makes two women feel safe when they come back around midnight from downtown walking.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If you are
travelling on budget, want to spend less on stay but expect very good
support, this should be your choice. I even left my luggage with them
when I went for a trip to izmir, which they kept safe for 3 nights
without any additional pay.
Two guys leading hotel are wonderful, helpful and friendly. Everything is very clean, rooms and shared bathroom. Breakfast was simple but sufficient (dried olives are so tasty). The neighborhood is run-down, but completely safe and full of life. I highly recommend!.
The staff is fantastic. They don't speak English very well but they certainly do try and always offer bottled water, tea, and/or coffee whenever you want. Breakfast is light and simple. Sincerely would recommend it! Location was good to walk around famous places.
The staff are very courteous and friendly, always willing to help.
Bath and toilet are always available and very clean.
Excellent value for money.
A perfect location - 5 minute walk to the Eminenyu. It is a place for local, so you can eat out very cheaply.
I liked the location, in a Turkish, working neighbourhood yet within
walking distance of all major tourist spots. The hotel is very clean and
the staff extremely friendly and helpful, although they have little
English. It is excellent value for money.
Very nice hotel, located in the district inhabited and frequented by Turks, 300 meters from the Galata bridge, the room very clean, great breakfast, very helpful, offer water and tea at all hours.
If you ask makes you put the bike in his garage.
Great place to stay. Easy to get to all the sights. Clean , basic but
comfortable with a fabulous shower room. Friendly and helpful staff. The
area is lively, safe and real.A Good taste of turkish life. I would
recommend it.
Great location. Near the New Mosque so not so touristy but got to see a more real part of Istanbul life. Close to sultanahmet but not in it. Staff lovely and helpful. Fantastic price for Istanbul. Big room.
Hotel is well located near Eminonu tram stop. You an get by foot Haya Sofia, Blue Mosque and other sightseeings of Istanbul. Very friendly owner of the hotel speaks English and knows some words in Russian.
The Location was good for the historic city, the staff were friendly and accommodating, in fact we found the service to be excellent. We were looked after very well, especially with our baby.
Great staff (i think it was the owner), you can get tea/coffe/water whenever you want, clean room and bathroom (we had private bathroom), good breakfast, great street (a lot of locals).
Near to Spice Bazaar. You can easily get food at little bazaar and shops surrounding this hotel. Staffs are very friendly. Price are reasonable and hotel is so comfort.
The staff. Hayri is the best, he was always there for us and offered fresh water, coffee, tea, information...
Good location. It worst the price for people on a budget.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. We definitely got more than we expected for the little money we paid.
Very friendly and trustfull hotel. It felt like knowing these people for
centuries.
Hotel is walking distance to old city and galata tower and taksim.
- staff, he was very firendly and helpful
- non-stop opening
- free water/tea/coffee and breakfast included
- wifi (anyway it was very week upstairs).
Extremely helpful staff. Clean rooms. Free tea and water all day. In spite of their limited English, the staff always tried to make everyone happy.
Staff went out of their way to accommodate us
Large rooms with tons of light
Brand new, spotless bathroom
Busy local street
Great wifi
Good view.
Friendly helpful staff. Complimentary bottled water. Clean. Great location for sightseeing. Ethnic, vibrant locality. Excellent budget hotel.
Very friendly personnel and willing to help (although not so much english-speaking). Very near to all the sights. Very good quality for price.
Most accommodating staff I've ever met and speak multiple languages
including: English, Italian, and more. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing staff, find few minutes to chat with them and you'll be
greatly rewarded. Interesting neighborhood - real Turkish experience.
Great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfy and very clean. Would stay here again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but all one needed. We used shared facilities and these were kept clean.
The staff was wonderful. There was no problem they could not solve. Also, the hotel was very clean. The wifi was good.
The staff is very friendly willing to help. Bathroom are clean and large. They also offer free water, coffee and tea.
One cannot be closer to the ordinary peoples` day-to-day routines! Shock in a minute but then love it to bits!.
Very very helpful and well behaved hotel staff. The value for money and the location is very good. Impressed.
Location was very nice. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.Next time I will try choose this hotel again.
Rooms are small but very clean. Staff is nice and very helpful. Excellent value for money.
It's values , clean ,near suyemen mosque , there r many cheap restaurants , kind owner .
Good localization, in real "turkish live" atmosphere. Cheap
and good food around.
Typical Turkish neibourhod
Less expensive
Free water
Nice staff
Really clean.
We like everything: location, cleanliness, friendliness...
the location
the life of in neighborhood
friendly staff.
Quality service for a great price. Excellent staff.
Everything: staff, location, value for money.
Very nice staff, great location, clean rooms.
Really nothing much to be honest. The internet had ups and downs and sometimes needed several tries to connect, but still worked eventually.
My first room with 2 twin beds and a shared bathroom was small but
manageable. Wifi extremely weak on the third floor but good in the lobby
and the first floor rooms. No elevator but this didn't bother us.
There was only a fan in our bedroom: maybe it was enough for us, given that we were always outside exploring Istanbul, but if you need a hotel to spend most of the day in there, perhaps you should look for air conditioned hotels (obviously it depends on when you visit the city). Then, I'm sad to say, breakfast is very poor, but I want to state again that our stay was great, these flaws have never been a big issue.
letsbookhotel.com stated on their website that the hotel has air-conditioniong
and a kitchen which was not true and rather misleading. Tv Channels do
not include English entertainment.
The breakfast is pretty simple but since you can have bottled water, tea, and/or coffee whenever you want and you can wake up at whatever time you want to eat your breakfast, it makes up for it.
Since it's located outside Old Sultanahmet, you need to go back early to hotel by 9pm coz it's dark walking to hotel.
Quite poor view from the window.
There was no dining room as such so breakfast was taken in the reception area and plated rather than buffet. But the food was still fresh and tasty.
toilet is a little busy in the morning!.
very dirty street - we were nicely surprised seeing hotel inside after all that mess. however we have not spent plenty of time there, just passed it for a minute on the way to hotel.
Wish the hotel staff knew enough English to communicate better.
Breakfast is very simple.
Dirty curtains in the room.
Room for 4 days were not cleaned.
No air conditioning but can't expect it for the price.
The building in general smelled a bit smokey.
No air-conditioning, hard to reach from airport.
Linens a bit worn
Street lively, but neighbourhood a bit rough around the edges
Small breakfast.
They really spoke very little English - very helpful but sometimes communication was a little difficult.
Very basic breakfast. When we arrived late at night we thought it was a dangerous neighbourhood, but we were wrong!.
I've no complaints!.
The breakfast area is a bit small.
It is a little bit difficult to find the hotel. The WiFi signal is very weak in the room.
Not enough furniture in room, breakfast was very poor.
Far as the station , 15mins walk distance, noisy ,.
room's ergonomy
without elevator.
