Only a 3-minute walk from Galata Tower, this hostel is situated on a popular street with boutique shops and authentic stores. The well-known Istiklal Avenue is 250 metres away and free Wi-Fi is accessible in all areas. Private and dorm rooms are available at Galata Cosmic Hotel. All bathrooms are shared. There is a home-style kitchen where hot drinks and snacks are served on site. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars nearby, offering a wide range of choices. A 7-minute walk down the hill will take you to Karakoy Tram Station and Galata Bridge with fish restaurants. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar are easily accessible via the tram. There is a terrace with sea and city views on the top floor of Galata Cosmic Hotel.

The new owner of 8 days was lovely and so accommodating. She did our laundry upon request for $5 USD, so appreciated! She took a bag of clothes we wanted to get rid of when downsizing our suit cases, and offered to donate them at a "goodwill" type of place. She greeted us with a smile and tea and answered many of our questions. The location can't be beat. A bit hard to find, so plan ahead or have a phone with you with gps or something. We found it easy enough after asking many locals and showin.
kaikki arvostelut » There's a good location in the center of the Europenian district in a few steps from Istiklal street and Galata Tower. Galata bridge is in 10 minutes, so u just need 10 minutes to cross that bridge and find yourself in a historical part of Istanbul. The staff is very friendly, a great old man who speaks English quite well. Our room was on the last floor under the terrace that have a marvelous stunning just wonderful view on Bosphorus, Haiga Sofia and Topkapi. So, the last floor room is very nic. Excellent location near Galata Tower and Istiklal Boulevard in Istanbul; very friendly and helpful staff; a magnificent view from the terrace to the Bosphoros, the Golden Horn and the main historical sites of Istanbul. A perfect place for short or long visits of individuals and groups with economic budget who can enjoy the tourist spirit at the heart of the city, feel the charm of old parts of Istanbul, and taste the pleasant atmosphere of this hospitable hostel. I had a great experience at Galata Cosmic hostel. Naima, the head of the staff, was a very friendly lady. The rooms were very clean, and the building had a stunning view of the Golden Horn and the sea of Marmara from the roof. Situated very near Galata Tower, it's a great place to be if you want to experience the nightlife of Istiklal street, yet be able to sleep in tranquil quiet. I loved loved loved the location of this hostel! It's right in Galata, just near the famous tower and the area, generally speaking, is less costly than Taxim and Sultanahmet and far less touristy for the most part. Also, the staff is super friendly and created a very welcoming atmosphere for us. Super friendly staff, helpful and always trying to give support and advice. Loved the end of day when you arrive back and sit to enjoy a chat and coffee. Even had my fortune read from the coffee I drank! Everyone happy and cheerful. Place was clean and tidy. Very nice and helpful staff,great locaton,although taxi drivers do not know it as it is hard to reach (lots of oneway narrow streets), but very close to Galata tower,its better to walk from there. The hostel is located in one very beatiful pictersque neighborhood of Istanbul. The view from the top is wonderful. Very open and friendly stuff, very clean, comfortable and a unbelievable view over the historic parts of the city. Terrace on the roof, room number 7, bed and pictures on the wall. No shade, though. So be prepared to bake if you wanna chill up there. It's an okay deal if you're broke. Location. nice view from terrace. It was certainly not easy to find the place, and it didn't help that the hostel doesn't have signs anywhere in the nearby streets. The hostel was newly opened when we arrived so they were still working out some kinks and so it was pretty basic with little decoration or fixings. But this aside, the staff has a vision for what the hostel will become and I am sure their hopes for it will come true with some time & I wish them all the best of luck!. Had no problems. Acoustically speaking you are sleeping in one room with your neighbor upstairs as you can hear everything,literally EVERYTHING, the steps on the very very squaky floor,the person on the other end of the her phone :-D They really need to put a carpet or something... It's a new place so still lots of things to upgrade but overall the location was worth it! Very happy. - shared shower, - payable tea and coffee. I didn't like the fact that they made a mistake with our booking. But we were lucky they had a free room on our arrival and they quickly arranged it for us. Its probably best to call and double check your booking before your arrival. no banners outside, had to guess the door. 1. Breathing cigarette smoke 2. Bunch of ants on the sheets! We found them right when we got there (so it's not our fault!) 3. The sheet under the bed sheet was covered in the tell tale signs of other people (lots of hair, dirt, etc). Nobody is here to welcome you at any time so it is best to agree an hour to meet. A bit noisy. The shared bathroom is realy tiny. small room & bathroom, ants on the ground. The building seemed very fragile. we had a room on the first floor and it was awful that we could hear every little sound or whispering that people upstairs made in the room. A squeaking floor made us feel too fearful to sleep. The location and the staff were very good but we won't stay there unless the problems solved. common bathroom. Cleanliness Professionalism. very poor landlord not very helpful in helping too expensive for that poor quality I would not come back there again. Awful and disgusting ! The room is rubish, bathroom stinks, towels are dirty, and you can hear any sound beetween the floors. We could hear our neighbour watching a movie. This place is the worst hotel in the world... And we have seen a lot !.
