  Last week I was in Meir Jarr and here are my comments. First the hotel is clean and organized.Rooms are clean and the room service is really good. Second the staff were friendly :) I didn't have problem understanding them(english) like most of the people say. Plus the location of the hotel is really good. You have everything you need next to you: right in front of you a 24/7 supermarket, a big variety of restaurants next to yo - The hotel location is absolutely perfect, the the design is modern and good as well as clean and tidy. The front desk staff especially the lady and the guy who was their when i checked in was very great and friendly as well as can understand me well when i spoke to them in english. The lady who check in was very accommodating and indeed appreciate much for upgrading me. Thier swimming pool view along with the bar is perfect,,,kinda romantic and clean too. Over all, recommendable.

Hotel was very nice. The location is not so good. More suited for people who like staying only in hotels and want nothing to see outside (old coulpe) - the pool is really good. Rooms ar nice and spacious, food was good. Nothing to see outside the hotel. No shopping, no beaches. Taxi is very expensive in Phuket. To get to Phuket town one way it costs 500 Bth (~20 USD). Very good massage salon within 10min walk.

  The Palmery was perfect for our vacation. New, clean, big rooms, great swimming pools which you can use any time of day or night - we loved everything. The staff was really friendly, they checked us in before 14:00, helped us rent a motorbike, get a taxi to the airport, were really nice and professional about everything. I should sa - We love The Palmery Resort & Spa, especially my 2 girls. We stayed here end of March'13 for 4 nights. The resort is new, staffs were all smiles, helpful and attentive from their front desk, housekeeping, bellman to their night security guard. Room was spacious, very clean and tidy, bed was big and comfortable. We had a pool access room and swimming was the daily highlight for my kids, it was just perfect for them.   I booked for 2 rooms (1 for myself, wife & 2 kids and another room for my sister in law & niece). Upon arrival, both rooms were upgraded to bigger room (thanks to Ron & Sammy). Rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with basic utilities (eg. aircond, freezer, water heater, flat tv etc) + king bed size & daybed. Overall, I can say exce - This hotel was great for a bunch of friends sharing. The room was very big. The pool was very clean. I'd say it was suitable for families too as it had everything you needed to make you comfortable (utensils, glasses plates etc).   The hotel was rather new and the facilities were among the best I've ever had - definitely on par with other big names out there, at only a quarter of their price. Staff were very attentive, and the restaurant was top quality.   We liked everything! Starting from meeting and picking us up from the airport, finishing with all the small details. We even had a problem with our comming flingt, so after few calls staff arranged everything necessary in a best way.
