  Surprising to have Indian restaurant within the hotel which was delicious. Fits perfectly into everyone's budget which makes accomodation in swiss affordable. Nearby, Hotel Sonne looks good but lacks the feel. Bad restaurant and high price for rooms. - Perfect location at the entrance of the town. The market is 2 mins walk.   It's a lovely hotel on an inlet on Bodensee (Lake Constance). We had the least expensive room and thought it was perfect. They say our room was not yet remodeled but we could not tell what was not remodeled. The hotel is also in a quaint village off the beaten path a bit. Cherub finials on the bed were a nice touch. Just wish we could have read the German tribute on the wall!! The staff was attentive and the dinners were outstanding.   The staff were friendly, spoke god English and could not have been more helpful - Excellent rooms, newly renovated and very quiet. The breakfast was very nice and offered plenty of selection. Blumenstein is in a very convenient place across from the railway station and next to Migros and other shopping areas.
