  We stayed one night in room 226 above the garden dining area. The room is very romantic and quiet once the hotel staff stopped work in the evening. The best part was the fact that this hotel & the Paramor next door are the only hotels within the walls of the Alhambra... Quite unique! Just go next door to eat & drink as there is nowhere else to go when the sun finally does go do - Perfect location for those visiting the Alhambra and willing to see the neighbooring Albayzín and Sacromonte. I could be at the Nazarín Palaces in less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, willing to accomodate my needs. Beautiful building, a wonderful terrace as a summer restaurant, very pleasant even at the peak heat of the day.

The Parador itself has been renovated to the highest possible standard, has a small number of rooms and is extremely exclusive. A fantastic honeymoon destination - All of it. Friendly helpful staff, lovely room, well cared for ancient building and gardens, great restaurant, buffet breakfast one of the best I've had. We went in the off season - Dec 2013 so had substantial discounts. We'll go back again at this time of year. The staff also made sure we got to the Alhambra on time - the palace has strict entry times. We would have missed it without the front-desk staff organising the visit for us.

  It was a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good and we had excellent veiws of the city from our room as well as from most places in the hotel.   We only stayed one night but it really was wonderful. We checked out early the next morning because we went to see the Alhambra and they stored our bags for us all day as we weren't leaving until late that night. Clean spacious dorm rooms, nice common area and kitchen and friendly staff. They are located in the old city, you can not drive up to it, it's about 500 m from Plaza Villa Nueva where cabs can drop you off. There is motorcycle parking in the plaza for biker types like me.
