What a place!!! And what a hotel!!! The room we stayed was perfect. The interior design was outstanding and had a small terrace with a breathtaking view to Alhambra. The breakfast was tasteful and homemade (fresh orange juice and toasted bread with tomatoes). Antonio is a very friendly and helpful host. He organised a pick up service for us from the bus station. The area of Albayzin where the hotel location is, is really beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the three days we spent in this delightfu.

Moroccan style interior and when you look from the window you see beautiful Alhambra just in front of you. And Antonio's hospitality makes you feel you are at home! And with his healthy breakfast all dat you feel great. I would def recommend anyone who would like to have the real feeling of Granada. Thanks god that we didn't picked one of those usual hotel rooms.Place that we stated mad. Fantastic small hotel in the great Albaycin quarter within walking distance of Pl. Nueva (ca 10 min). The place would be hard to find but free pick-up at the bus station was kindly arranged by owner Antonio. There is also a back entrance which is convenient and avoids most stairs. Very pleasant room, quiet, tastefully decorated in Arab style with great views of Alhambra. Delicious breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice, delicious bread, muffins and coffee. The high ratings are entirely jus. This hotel was without doubt the best we stayed at in Spain. Antonio and Julio were fantastic and incredibly helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and the position perfect with balcony views directly to the Alhambra. Being picked up from the station and delivered to the door was great. We never would have found it without this service due to nature of the streets but that is why we chose the location. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated with a good eye for detail and comfort. Very well exec. The Arabic themed rooms with authentic accessories are great. We had two rooms overlooking the alhambra and albaycin, one with sun terrace: amazing view and the terrace was perfect to have a aperitif before going into town. Antonio was the perfect host, making us a homemade breakfast and giving us tips and directions. Perfectly located in the albaycin, only 10 minutes from the centre and 15 minutes from the alhambra, right next to sacromonte. Free taxi service to the hotel from the bus station. This was one of the best accommodations in my life - amazing view to the Alhambra, much care in providing services - great traditional Spanish breakfast, additional tourist information (we got great tips for places to eat and a good map) and free shuttle from the bus station. I would come back to visit Granada, just to stay in this amazing place. And on top of it all, great value for money. Staying at MontesClaros was the excellent way to experience Granada. We had gorgeous view from our room. The room was so clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was freshly prepared juice, fruits, bread and coffee, which was very tasty. We would like to come back again and stay here longer next time so that we can enjoy gorgeous time at MontesCaros besides the city sightseeing. Solar Montes Claro is in a perfect location within the old city of Granada. You can even walk to the Alhambra over an old path and never need a car or taxi. The house itself is beautifully remodeled, comfortable, and has both private and common terraces with wonderful views. The host, Antonio, is very helpful and accommodating. Overall, this place is real treat. Antonio was such an attentive host, he made his place feel as though you were a guest in his beautiful home. Our room was stunning with gorgeous decor, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on and amazing views of Granada. Luxury supplies in the room and a delicious fresh breakfast added to our comfort. We cannot praise this place enough. Gorgeous location!! View is spectacular! Also rooms are beautifully done. Very interesting layout. Spaces are private and quiet. Julio was most accommodating, helpful, recommending two good restaurants. Taxi service can add up, due to the location of the b&b. Take a guided tour of The Alhambra for maximum learning, it's HUGE!. A beautiful room tastefully designed with Moorish influences and a fabulous big bath. A great view overlooking the Alhambra. Antonio is helpful and can provide good restaurant recommendations. Useful that he will arrange for a driver to pick you up as could be hard to find otherwise. Rooms were large and beautifully decorated. Situation in the old town within walking distance of the Alhambra and the town centre. Taxi sent to pick us up as no parking in the old town. Super breakfast prepared by Antonio each morning. Wonderful service and pick up from a ring parking lot. The location was in walking distance to all the areas we wanted to visit. Our host, Antonio was very helpful with suggestions. The room was spacious with a terrace, and view of the Alhambra. We would definitely stay there again. Beautifully located, we had a room right with the view on Alhmabra from our little balcony, room super big, with a huge bath in a special zone in the open, beautifully decorated. It felt like staying at a friend's house- the rooms were immaculate, the location spectacular and the beds enormous! I cannot recommend it highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. Location was good with a great view of the Alhambra. Nothing that I could say.. Nothing about the hotel. The flamenco bar "Los Tarantos" just below in the Camino del Sacromonte is a tourist trap. The owner actually recommended the "Chien Andalou" on Carrera del Darro which is much better both for music and drinks. There was no lift. There is little realistic chance you will find parking nearby. We actually parked in the underground parking of a shopping mall and took a taxi to the hotel. It worked out fine logistically, although a bit expensive (16 Euros/day). Very difficult to find on your own! You MUST call for directions. Not well known so taxi drivers don't even know where the exact location is. Word of caution, there are many, many stairs so may be difficult for older Travelers ( we are both in our 70's and managed but not easily). Breakfast is adequate but a little basic. loved the location but would be no good for anyone with dodgy knees or difficulty with steep slopes of twisty steps. 1.Appartement-doors to hallway/ staircase are a bit badly soundproofed but rooms are so nice that this is quite easy to live with. 2. we only had two nights... Hard to find. You've got no chance of parking anywhere nearby if you have a car, due to its location in the Albaizin. That said, you're near enough to bus routes and 15 minutes from the town centre for this not to represent a problem. Location is a little out of the way on top of a hill but in the older quarter. It was a little tough to get to the room, after climbing up a hill and then a few flights of narrow stairs. The room was a little smaller than expected, and there was no TV. We would have also enjoyed a working AC. Asked to pay for room in cash only. a cash only requirement is not appropriate for someone staying for a few days or a week. The location was good for exploring the Albaicin and walking to the Alhambra but just a little far from the centre of Granada. However, the buses were frequent and relatively cheap. Put your car in a public parking and walk to the hotel. Nothing really to dislike, a great place to stay if a little expensive. Cannot drive up to the front door but the use of a taxi fixed that issue.
