Location is excellent and the hostal is very clean.
Wireless didn't work properly. When we arrived to the hostel, they wanted extra 11 euros for 5 days. It wasn't mentioned that there will be ''tasa'' in Catalonia.
perfect location, nice and helpful staff :).
weather but hotel cant do anything with it
It's a family hostel. Everyone is family. :)
It's a good place to stay for a couple days in Barcelona. Quite cheap and really close to downtown. The elevator is very cool.
The staff is friendly and ready to help , the location is perfect ,very close to the famous street La Rambla . The neighborhood ,although it may seems a bit unsafe ,actually is very lively , a blend of different peoples ,different bars and shops and if you have time to explore it you may find it interesting. If you are looking for a very basic place, this hostel is a good value for money.
the elevator barely fits one person a small closet in the room will be perfect
Friendly and very helpful staff. A clean and happy hostal.
There was nothing to dislike.
Everything, especially staff.
Nothing
everything really!
Super staff and location
staff, location.
Hostal Radio is great value for money. It is located in centre city near good cafe and restaurants and also near some museums, metro station. The staff is friendly and very helpful.Room is cleaned every day.
This hostel is far away from beach. There is a little bit noisy in the room at night. Wifi is only in the hall.
Nice staff, good location.
Terrible nightlife and noisy, some guy drunk and shouted all night. WIFI not in the room.
Good location, kind and friendly staff
a little bit noisy, small room, almost no furniture i the room
Small hostel Friendly Staff perfect location
no wifi in the rooms
Central location, reasonable price, helpful reception staff, late check out.
A bit on the small side, the lift in particular was a bit claustrophobic.
Hostal personal is very friendly. Excellent localization to compare to price. Clean room and free wi-fi.
It's a very good idea to put the radio in the room. The music was great, thank you very much. Besides, Hostal Radio is very authentic, it gives the opportunity to feel the real life of Barcelona.
Friendly staff. Clean room. Good location.
no wifi in room.
Good location in the Barcelona old town but a more quiet alley. Convenience store right around the corner. Had wi-fi and we were able to store our luggage there for the day after checking out.
Narrow halls and small room. Wi-fi was not strong enough to constantly reach the room.
Good location Nice and kind service
No
Service Good place Not very expensive
1. People were very friendly and charming since the first arrival. You can count on them day or night. 2. It is really close to the center of the city. You can arrive on the La Rambla in about 10-15 minutes on foot. 3. It was clean, they cleaned the room and changed the towels every day. 4. It wasn't to much noise on the streets, so we could rest in peace.
1. Tight place - elevator, hall, room 2. Lack of AC - Hot atmosphere, high humidity, sensation of wet skin were strenghtened inside 3. Other small lacks, but being a 2* hostel, they are expected.
Location is perfect, staff is very friendly and helpfull
small rooms, but clean and comfortable very helpfull staff excellent location
no air condition
Radio and mirrors in room
WiFi hot-spot signal is too low
Great location! Friendly staff!excellent for budget tourist!
The elevator is so small, as well as stairs. It made me feel claustrophobic.
friendly, willing, helpful staff, near to the metro station, clean,
bad soundproofing,
I really liked the location - the hotel is close to the city center and the main sights. If you have time, you can go everywhere on foot. To get to the beach you will spend half an hour. The staff is friendly. It is quite safe as well to store money and docs in the safe. The room was cleaned every day, the towels changed every day. It is good value for money
the hostel is definitely not for families with small children and elderly people - in the evening and at night it is sooo noisy - some people (and even children!!) shout, laugh, talk so loudly that it will be hard to fall asleep. It was not a problem for us - after long days in the worderful Barcelona we were happy to go to bed and easily fell asleep. The was no air conditioner - but the celing ventilator was quite enough.
Staff are friendly and it is very near to the center of the town
Rooms are very small and its too difficult to reach the hostel for the first time going to barcelona
This compact hostel was very clean and comfortable and a great affordable option to stay in Barcelona. Also a great location close to La Rambla but slightly apart so fairly quiet at night and less pedestrian traffic.
Nothing, this hostel was more than appropriate for the price paid.
the staff was very kind and helpful. the location was excellent- 5 min walk from plaza katalunia ( center) near casa mila and batiu, all the restorants. we got 2 water bottels when we got to the hostel. the room was realy good to the price we payed. the room was realy clean and the sower was good there is an elavator
the sofa in the reception was with bugs the street wasnt good but was very close to the main street
Cheap, clean and excellent location. You really don't need more than that. But If whats turn you on is a marble lobby- Maybe it's not for you. And a bonus - you can listen to some great music in the room.
Great location. The Room was cleaned and towels are changed every day. Friendly staff. Secure place, the door is always closed, 24 hr service. The hostal Radio is situated in a great locacion, 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, La Rambla. There is metro Universitat and metro Sant Antoni very close too. Staff very helpfull and kind. The music in the room (radio) was very nice.
No closet in the room. Too thin walls...
Very good position and price. The Room was cleaned and towels are changed every day. Friendly staff. Secure place, the door is always closed, 24 hr service.
No closet in the room. If you close the window the room is in the dark. The shutters must be closed before the glass and this is not convenient.
Great location
The hostal Radio is cheap, simple and is situated in a great locacion, 15 minutes walk from Plaza Espana and 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, La Rambla. There is a bus stop very close and the metro Universitat and metro Sant Antoni very close too. Staff very helpfull and kind. They helped us a lot with everything that we asked. It s a very good place to stay for few days, because you only need a bed to sleep for the night and hot water, as the rest of the day you are outside seeing the beautiful city. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfy and room cleaned daily. The music in the room was very nice. I think that it was a fine value of money if you think that Barcelona is an expensive city. If you're on a tight budget when you visit Barcelona, I highly recommend the place :)
Very nice and caring staff. Room was small but bright and clean. Quiet neighborhood, close to city center. In general, very good quality for such low price!
Walls are too thin, but after long busy days that didn't bother me:)
Price + location perfect.
Cockroaches in the bathroom. Be careful, there are thiefs in Barcelona!
Basic but clean and affordable. Good when you just need a place to sleep.
No sound proofing so next door guests and street noises are clearly audible. There was only a single power socket available, it would have been beneficial to have another 2 (preferably closer to the bed) for charging phones etc.
perfect location, walking distance to all of the city centre attractions, underground station nearby, helpful, English-speaking staff, lots of breakfast opportunities around; we had a room with a window from a back alley, so it was very quiet
it was the end of November and the room had only a tiny heater - it was really cold in the middle of the night; also the bed materace was pretty hard
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the central parts of Barcelona
The hotel is very noisy, with thin walls and a loud elevator. Bring earplugs!
I could ear all noises from de room next to me
The pozitive aspects are the fact that the room has a private bathroom, a ventilator and the location of the hostel. Also, the staff was fluent in English and there was a luggage room to leave your luggage before cheking in (if you arrived earlier) or after checking out.
The room is very small with an even smaller window, with a horrible view. There was a TV in the room, but with no remote control. The walls are very thin and you can hear every single noise from the other rooms (next to the room or above or below the room). It was ok that the room had a private bathroom, but the ventilation was very poor with strange smells....Also, the bathtub wasn't very clean.
near the rambla
The staff were friendly and gave helpful tips on the best ways to get around in the city. The reception always had staff working there around the clock. No air conditioner in the room, but a good fan. Good daily cleaning with fresh sheets and towels. Good central location with walking distance to the modern museum and the magic fountain and La Rambla (and also the beach if you're up for a long walk). Good second hand shops at Carrer de Tallers close by.
We had a room on the second floor facing the street and it was very loud, and also you could hear the hotel neighbors very clear (talking, tv-noise, furniture moving, bathroom sounds). Earplugs solved the problem. No controller for the tv (not possible to switch channels or volume). Spartan bathroom, didn't have a proper door, felt more like a public toilet stall.
good cheap parking near by
had requested 2 singles and got a double. Staff not really interested in giving help
near centrum
weewee in the bathroom
All in all, good conditions for the requested price.
Location is bad (too far from public transportation, weird neighborhood).
friendly staff, clean
small room
Good location and cheap price, the stuffs was pretty nice.
Bad smell from the bathroom and poor sound installation.
